I called the business to request a quote. The person I spoke to said they give free estimates. A date (November 9, 2021) was set and their technician arrived at the location very early. I was not there when he did the inspection. When I got to the location, he was leaving and he said he has checked the premises and he will send an invoice.First of all, I was only asking for an estimate which they said was free. Secondly, I did not give him any verbal or written authorization to do any work because I was not there when he did his inspection. Therefore, I believe we do not owe the company any money because there is no agreement or authorization to do any work.Business response

We are very sorry to hear about ****** experience with our company. Our goal is to always have the customer satisfied with their experience and it is unfortunate that this is not the case.
**** is correct that we do offer free inspections. I did speak with ***, the technician that visited that day. He said that he did arrive early to the site, approximately 25 minutes. He knocked on the door and the tenants answered and told him the issues were in the garage area. They allowed him to take a look so he went and provided the inspection. He noticed that the issues were just concentrated around the garage and possibly related to the renovations/repairs that were happening. He did place 4 bait stations both in and around the garage to help solve the mice issue. At that time he called **** and said that he had completed the inspection and told him what he had found, which at the time **** said he was on his way and would be there shortly. *** waited for **** and discussed what was completed in person as well. *** said he shared the normal pricing of the service was $*** plus GST but given the issues were concentrated around the garage he offered the lowered price of $****** plus GST. He asked that **** keep an eye on activity and see how things went after the repairs in the garage were complete. There was no disagreement on pricing or service during the discussion as far as *** remembers. He thought everything was okay and proceeded as normal.
Given what I can see from the complaint and ***** response, I would say there was some miscommunication on what was agreed upon between the free inspection and providing the service. We apologize for the misunderstanding and not waiting until **** arrived to do any service work. If **** does not want to proceed with the service payment, we can come pick up the bait stations and no charge will be given. We will void the invoice *****.
