took my kitchen aid stand up mixer to find an estimate of what it would cost. The mguy called me back with a price of $84. I told him not to fix it until I contact him back as I could buy a cusinart mixer new from ******. My husband went to pick it up cause we decided we were not going to fix it. The lady said that the cost was $84. My husband told her we didn’t want it fixed and never gave authorization to have it done. Her repair guy was not in and she wouldn’t give him the mixer. I called her when he got home and talked to her about what was going on. She said she had to talk to her repair guy before she would let me have it back. I told her I told him not to fix it and he that that on his own accord. It was not problem that he fixed it without permission no parts were needed. He tuned it up and added oil she then proceed to tell me that before I could have it back he would have to UN-FIX what he had fixed??? I told her I would pay for the oil he put in it As it was added in the machine already. So picked it up yesterday paid $31.50 $10 for oil and $20 for the initial assessment fee. Tried it out and the mixer is significantly more loud and the gears 8-10are very slow not fast. This is NOT customer service what’s so ever. The machine was a little loud that’s why I took it in. It was working perfectly fine. Who knows what they did out of spite. It was their error, should have admitted it, and left my machine alone as it their error 100%. Sometimes it’s the cost of doing business when your employees make an error. This is really unfortunate, as they moved into my area and was happy to support local businesses. Guess I will have to find somewhere else to fix our snow blower. On a side note, the lady was very short with me and said I must have miscommunicated with the repair guy. I told her I was very explicit when I talked to him, and there was NO WAY that I wasn’t clear. Plus during this week long back and forth with this lady, her repair guy just never showed up for work twice and she said “he just didn’t show up”. It’s unfortunate that this little business in my neighbourhood HAS extremely poor service that they have to UN-FIX A TUNE UP that they did in error. I will be posting this in our neighborhoods community pages so everyone is aware So they don’t receive the poor outcome I did.

I was unaware that this was not to be repaired when the customer came in to pick up because yes ,people are allowed to have personal days and not come into work ! my tech had repaired this unit before ever talking to customer. We have never come across anyone not wanting to repair a kitchen mixer for that price . Customer was very ,very rude when she was told she could not have the unit back and not have to pay for the service . Sorry I do not work well with rude people so I had my tech give back her machine the way that it was brought in to us . With the exception that she has a serviced gear box with new grease
