Lawn Tech has been providing spring cleanup, fertilization, weed control, and fall aerating for several years. I have paid per service for when the service was done. The last 2 years I have paid up front for the whole season service. Just to make it easier for the company. That is true of this year. Spring cleanup was done. Ferliization and weed control was done once. Not a bad job but not up to standards of the past years. I received a phone call from ******* Lawn Care, calling for Lawn tech. The man stated that he would be out the next day to fertilize and do weed control the next day. This was August 26th. No one came August 27th as it was raining and cold that day. On Monday, August 29th, I called ******* Lawn care and Lawn tech both to find out when they were coming. My call was not returned. I waited a few more days as I thought they were busy. I called repeatedly,leaving messages at both companies. No one returned my calls. I called then to cancel the services left that were not provided and requested a refund of my money. No one has returned my calls. Or my money. I have called Lawn Tech recently and no one answers the phone, just the machine. The website is no longer obtainable. I would like my money back, but am wondering now if they are no longer in operation. Also If ******* Lawn Care has taken over their accounts, then I would like my money returned from them.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Lawn-Tech Inc on Apr 14th 2022 agreeing to pay $135 for spring cleanup, and $230 for their five application weed control / fertilizer program. They initially processed the $135 fee twice on my credit card. When realized, I contacted them and received a $135 refund. They did not show up on the day they were originally scheduled for the yard clean-up. I had to follow up with them by email and afterwards the services were performed. They have not come to my house more than 1-2x at the very most for lawn treatments. Also, we had a lot of weeds in our yard, particularly to the north side of our property which makes me think they never even treated that side. I called lawn Tech early to mid-Aug and spoke with ****** *****. I mentioned that I hadn't seen them for a while, and that I still had a lot of weeds in the yard. He assured me he would be coming out later in Aug & would make sure he gave the lawn a thorough weed control application. I emailed lawn Tech on Sep. 4th to say I hadn't seen or heard from anyone. I included a couple of pictures showing the weeds in my yard. I then started calling lawn Tech to try and get some answers, each time leaving messages on their phone. Dates were Sep 9th, 14th, 19th. None of my voice messages have been returned. I feel it has reasonable they reimburse I signed a contract that states, "our weed control / fertilizer program is backed by a full customer satisfaction guarantee!" I am far from being satisfied with the service I have received. My concerns include (a) not properly controlling the weeds on my property, (b) broken promises, (c) two to three missed treatments (d) not responding to multiple contact attempts. I retained another lawn specialist on September 18th to perform fall area station aeration and fertilization services at a cost of $185. This includes aeration, and two fertilization applications. I feel it is reasonable to ask for a 60% refund. $230 * 60% = $138.Initial Complaint

On May 15, 2022 I submitted a request to Lawn-Lech Inc for a lawn care package though their webpage form. The payment of $255 was charged to my ********** and I received an email confirmation that same day. Later, approximately early June, I received a phone call and they did come and apply the first treatment. As of today, August 23, 2022 I have not heard from them again nor have I received any further lawn care. On August 16, 2022 I emailed the company requesting an update. I have not received a response. Today I called the number on their website and there was no answer. It is too late in the season to have any further treatments make much of a difference. I would like to have a refund covering my unfulfilled contract.Initial Complaint

Hi, I hired Lawn-Tec Inc to provide Weed Control & Fertilizing Package for a small lawn 185.00. I paid in May, they came out once on June 12,2022. The package includes 3 Fertilization and 2 weed control applications over 5 months. It’s August 22,2022, I have contacted them 5-8 times, he has replied saying he will come twice, no shows both times. I have not heard from him in 2 weeks and my lawn is covered in weeds. So disappointed with this company and just want my hard earned money back.Initial Complaint

On April 29th, I purchased a lawn care package from the website: https://www.lawntechservices.ca/ The package was to contain the following listed below, copied and pasted from their website: “Our Weed Control/Fertilizer Program is backed by a full customer satisfaction guarantee!” Our Weed Control/Fertilizer Program consists of five applications over the spring, summer, and fall duration. Combining Weed Control/Fertilizer in a timely program is the only way to ensure that your lawn is getting both the controlling elements it needs to thrive! Your lawn will receive what it needs at the time it needs it, to ensure a healthy weed free lawn throughout the season. We stand behind our service to the fullest extent to make sure that every customer is proud to be part of our program. This is the element that separates us from the rest, and is a main reason we are on of the countries fastest growing weed control and fertilization companies around. They have only ever come out once, back in early June, where they did the first of five applications. They have not been back since. I have been calling daily, leaving voicemails and sending emails and no one has answered, returned my calls or replied to my emails. By this late in August, they should have come out more than one time. My lawn is now suffering with weeds and lack of nutrients as I was depending on their lawn care services for the season. At this point, I just want my money back as they have not provided me with the services they advertised and I paid for because now Summer is nearly over and they can't finish the job.Initial Complaint

I paid for weed control and fertilization - 3 times per season. They fertilized once and did a spot weed control but didn’t do whole lawn so lots of weeds. I emailed them 3 times and left a voicemail message once, to ask them to come to do weeds. They have never responded. They also did spring clean up, which was fine.Customer response

At the start of May I entered into an agreement with Lawn-Tech for spring cleanup, Weed Control and Fertilizer package totalling $500.00. I paid this on May 4 and they came and did the spring clean-up and early fertilizer application. When I enquired about the first weed spraying I was told it would be the last week of May or early June once all the spring cleaning had been done. I had asked them to come earlier as the dandelions would be out by then. ****** said no way as they don't come out that early. I asked him to contact me and let me know once they slotted me in for a spraying. I haven't heard from him since. I have tried at least 25 times to contact them and left messages for him to call. Sometimes when I called his mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. I picked literally hundreds of my dandelions so that they wouldn't spread since then. I would like my money refunded for the remaining unsupplied services in the amount of $295.00. There is no way that I want that company near my property again.Initial Complaint

In March 2022, I agreed to hire Lawn Tech Inc. to perform a service package which included services provided throughout the spring and into fall including weed control and fertilizing. Services were to be paid for in advance of the contract and as discussed with ******, a check for $320 was provided (cashed later) on the first day they showed up but they did not perform the weed control portion of the spring service. It was indicated that they would be out in a couple of days to complete the weed control. After a week or more, I called ****** and he indicated that portions of the contract were performed in a rotation according to the area they were working in (they cover several areas within Edmonton and surrounding areas). He was not scheduled to be in Sherwood Park for a week or more. This was not mentioned in our initial agreement. I was not happy but I waited longer and after a couple of weeks, I became frustrated and contacted him again. I told him if he was not going to provide the service I had hired him for, keep $120 for the work he had provided and return the $200 remaining for services he did not provide. After that, we both became frustrated with each other and I finally hung up on him. Despite several emails requesting my money, he does not respond. He tried calling me under his old business name twice - the first time I spoke to him and it became hostile so I hung up. He called back immediately but I did not talk to him, I just picked up the phone and hung up without saying a word. I still have not received any money back and I feel, he has done only a small portion of the work. If he can't complete the spring work, I have my doubts as to the fall work and I have since hired a new company. Can you please assist me in getting some of my money back.Initial Complaint

I pre paid this company for lawn care services booked for May 4. They didn't show up or contact me to say they had to reschedule or cancel my services. It is now May 5th. I have called 6 times, left 2 voicemails and sent 2 emails without a response. However, when I complained in their FB page, someone immediately responded to those messages, but no one has bothered to call me in person. I have requested a refund via phone message and email. And I asked my bank to reverse the charges on my credit card.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I booked a spring clean up with this company April 28 for May 4. No services were completed, despite paying $185 up front. I called and sent emails and filed a complaint with the ****** ******** ******. May 24 the owner called me and said he would be at my house May 26 to complete the job. No show May 26. I left a voicemail, unreturned. May 27 I get a hold of the owner, who somehow has zero recollection of me or the promised job completion. States they will come complete the job today. It is 5pm, I saw the crew and they said they wete done for the day, job still not completed. Another voicemail has been left with the owner. This is the most frustrating experience I have had with a company not doing a job I paid for.
