I strongly recommend that anyone looking to buy a vehicle avoid City Ford Sales LTD. This dealership is not reputable and employs questionable tactics. They often add charges and purchases to the sales contract without informing the buyer, leading to thousands of dollars in unexpected fees. As a disabled senior, I have purchased two trucks from City Ford Sales LTD in Edmonton, and both times I *** ***** ********* ** for significant amounts of money. This dealership seems to ******* ********** customers, especially disabled seniors. City Ford Sales LTD lacks ******* and credibility in their business practices. They do not disclose additional charges and use ********* methods to increase the sales contract amount. In my opinion, they are not trustworthy and will **** ********* of customers if given the chance. For these reasons, I strongly advise against doing business with City Ford Sales LTD. Protect yourself and avoid this dealership at all costs.Review from Heather S

Kinda dissapointed with the service department ! I have been a client from them for 7 years with my 17 explorer ( that i actually got from them brand new ) and yesterday brought in a 2013 fusion that I havent used and my husband and I decided to get it inspected for the steering and the suddenly shutting that happens when the steering goes off. When I got there they told me vehicle has recalls , they worked on the recalls; following day I brought it back and later i was called with a quote for $4 k , I understand that the steering cost a lot , the thing I am complaining about is the charge for the diagnostic $431 How can a diagnostic be so expensive? The bill says they charged me for 2 different diagnostics $178 for each diagnostic plus $54 in shop supplies and it doesnt specify what supplies , I asked and the sales person said that the machines they used , it shouldnt that be included in the diagnostic price all the machines they use ? $431 to just diagnostic and the sales service ******************* I think is his name , told me we took $107 off so the bill was actually $431+ 107 = $543 I was in TOTAL shock !!!! anyways so I guess if I should have told them to check the tires they would have charged me for tires diagnostic separately ? Its not supposed that inspections its for the whole vehicle ? And I would have like them to tell me since the beggining since I called that they charged for every diagnostic separately Checking the quote its not that he took $107 off , he just lie to me the quote says that if I decide to replace the sensor then it will need to be tested afterwards and then the charge would be $107 for .6 hrs of job so sales service lied to me in order for me to pay for the insane amount of diagnostic and dont complain about the price , making me feel great ful to them for that discount that its obvious not a discount and just a lie I feel frustrated first because of believing and then for accepting to pay :(City Ford Sales Ltd Response

I'm a small business owner that operates a company in ***************. I bought a used **** focus from *********. It work fine for three months and then one morning I put it in reverse to back up and nothing. I thought it was the transmission. But how could that be I thought to myself it had only ***** kms and when I bought it the salesman told me it was a buyback and **** went through it and it was in great shape with only *************************************************************************************************** drive. So I proceeded to put it in reverse thinking it was a glitch and nothing. Took it to ********* was told it was a problem with the Transmission Control Module and they assured me that because of the low mileage it would be cover under warranty then they drop the bomb on me. They tell me it would be 6 to 8 months to get one in because of supply chain issues and there are over **** Vehicles in ****** alone that require this TCM. Checked in today 6 months later and service guy tells me they are starting to trickle in. I say best guess, how long. He tells me there are 7 ahead of me about 5-6 months. I lost it ask to speak to his manager and he hangs up on me. Not Impressed at all with service departmentReview from kelsey d

********* OF ********- WASTES YOUR TIME AND FAILS TO COMMUNICATE HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY.My experience with ********* has been nothing but frustrating. I took our **** in on Friday July 22nd, I had to leave work early for my 1pm appointment. I called ahead at **** and spoke to the service department where I was told I could come in early as they were slow and the job to replace the valve would take 1-1.5 hrs. After waiting for 45 minutes (while I assumed the car was being serviced) my keys were handed back to me and I was told that they lost the part that was ordered from the States, they would have to reorder another one and I was sent home.a few hours later ******** from the ****************** called and said they had located the part (the one that was MISSING hours earlier) and I could come back next week, I re arranged my schedule with work and my trip out of the country so that I could take the car back to ********* on Wednesday July 27th. I brought the car in at 6:48am Again, this should have been a quick job and after 1.5 hours I asked and was told the mechanic was just now under the hood, almost 3 hours later I was once again told they couldnt take the car to be tested because the water pump needed to be replaced. Not a happy customer, I was told by **** the mechanic in front of several other employees that the job would *********** hrs and I would have the car back by end of day.Again I had to re arrange my work schedule and take time off to make it back to ********* at 545.Not once during that entire day was anything communicated to me, they went ahead and replaced a belt with no communication, they charged for 9 hours of labor for the pump although I was told 6 and not one single person mentioned that they charge a minimum 9 hours. If there are minimum charges those should be properly communicated. You do not keep someones car and make decisions without finding out consent. Timing belt was replaced, there for I was charged for additional lCity Ford Sales Ltd Response

*********'s service manager contacted ********************************* and the owner of vehicle being serviced. He apologized for the part mix up and for her bad experience at *********. He explained that the 6 hours quoted was an estimate. However he wanted to be fair so he refunded the owner of the vehicle an agreed amount. We feel this issue has been resolved.
