I purchased soya sauce online and on the delivery day the ***** guy was full of soya sauce and told me all the of it was broken inside, the driver told me that I dont need to receive it since its broken and there is an insurance to cover it. So I believe him, he took back the package with him. I inform the shipper umami shop of the incident they told me that they will look at it and refund me the money of almost 140 dollars in total. It has been 3 months and not they emailed me that they will not refund the money. Since ***** did not send to back to them the soya sauce. How can ***** returned that its all broken! Leaking. It is hard to ask for a refund to umami shop I waited patiently and now this is what they will tell me. I hope you can help.Initial Complaint

Re: Umami Shop - **********, ******* - 12 cans of ************* Sauce were ordered and charged to my credit card on March 9th, 2024 totalling $68.88.- Items shipped on the 11th. Box arrived in a timely manner via Purolator and intact/ no damage.- I opened the box on the 16th of March and subsequently called the Umami Shop at: ************ - I expected intact and fresh grocery product.- Multiple cans showed a Best Before Date of 11/02/2023. Some dates more faded than others, and other cans had no visible date nor a lot number.- 5 of 12 cans arrived with significant dents.- When I called the Umami Shop to request a refund, she proceeded to explain the meaning of 'Best Before Date'. 11/02/2023 is well past an acceptable 'Best Before Date', as it is now March 2024.- From March 16th onwards - We spoke once and I also emailed them photos with an explanation requesting a refund to my credit card. Subsequent to requesting a refund, I also gave the Umami Shop the option to replace the product with cans not past the 'Best Before Date'. No return shipping label was sent to me despite my offering to return the shipment.- I have waited 9 days and still no reply.- The Umami Shop is refusing to refund me their expired product.
