Battery Replacement Process and Warranty Guidelines

When a customer replaces a battery and experiences issues a few weeks later, we follow a specific process to address the situation. We offer a one-year warranty on the battery itself, but not on the watch. We recommend that customers keep their receipt as proof of purchase for warranty claims.

      Verification of Purchase:
We ask the customer to present their store receipt to confirm the date of the transaction and proof that the watch was repaired at our location. The receipt will include details of the battery replacement cost, taxes, our store name, address, phone number, and tax information. If the customer has lost the receipt, they may also provide a credit card receipt or statement as proof of purchase.

      Battery Testing and Watch Inspection:
We will open the watch and test the battery in front of the customer using a battery tester. If the battery is found to be faulty and within the one-year warranty period, we will replace it free of charge. If the battery is still strong, the issue is likely with the watch itself. In such cases, we offer a free cleaning service to remove any dirt that might be affecting the watch's functionality. If the problem persists, we offer the customer the option to bring in another watch for battery replacement at no additional cost.

We have consistently adhered to this business practice without any issues. It is likely that the customer's complaint about our refusal to check their watch after two weeks stems from their inability to provide an official store receipt. The picture they attached is not an official store receipt.

We are happy to assist the customer in checking their watch, which is most likely experiencing a mechanical issue. We will also offer a free cleaning service to address any dirt-related problems, as long as the customer can provide a store receipt or bank statement as proof of purchase from our store.

Thank you for your understanding, as we are not able to remember all customers.

      Complaint: 22115559

I am rejecting this response because: I went to this business owner and showed proof of receipt with TD statement, , he said he does not provide warranty on his battery because the watch battery light which is ridiculous, I told him I will complain to better business bureau and he said go ahead.  If I go again to him he will say the same thing and refuse to assist me, many people have complained about his watch service in his profile link .  I am concerned that he will break my watch saying its damaged and you will close my case.  I want him to replace this defective watch battery he put in front of me without damaging my watch.  Why did he refuse to do this repair when I went to his shop on 8th August saying he cannot give warranty on his watch battery that proved defective within 2 weeks after replacement.  How will I know if I go there he will provide service and not refuse me.  I do not want you to close this complaint till repair is completed

      Sincerely,

Hello, If youve already shown your TD statement to the repairman and he declined to test the battery due to the specific type of watch (e.g., watches with light and alarm functions like Indiglo), that could be the reason. Unfortunately, we do not offer a warranty for watches with light and alarm functions.

However, I may not fully understand the details of the situation. If you have your bank statement showing the credit card purchase of $12 + tax = $13.50, you can bring it to the store along with this statement and request a refund for this amount to resolve the matter.

You dont need to return the battery, and we will not test or open your watch, so theres no need to worry about the repairman potentially damaging your watch. As you mentioned, the watch wasnt working initially, but after replacing the battery, it worked for only two weeks. This still suggests that the issue may be with the watch itself.

To avoid further handling of your watch, we will not open it again or take back the battery. You may keep the battery, but please understand that we will not be able to provide any additional repairs for the watch. However, you can obtain a refund within 14 days from today.
