We have tried to have this company fix our stove/ cooktop for 6 months. 3 different technicians and they broke the element. We are tired of calling and all the empty promises. We paid them in full and have not received any service and a complete disregard for our safety. We want our money back and a written apology or court is the next action.

My oven stopped working on December 25, 2021. Called ARE Appliance based on reviews. They sent someone out the beginning of January, then called me on Jan 5th. Said it would cost $466.86 and charged by credit card. I didn't hear from them until Jan 18th and said a repair man would come Friday Jan 21st afternoon. I had a family member here all afternoon and they didn't show up. I called at 3pm and was told they don't know who has my part, who was suppose to come and would call me right back. No one contacted me. I emailed them on Saturday telling them I was dissatisfied with their service and got a response saying they would follow up Monday and let me know. I never received a response. I contacted another company and had my oven fixed in three days for $150. I have called and emailed ARE Appliance so many times. Alvin B******* keeps saying he will look into it and call me back. I never get a response. The second to last time I called he said he would credit my card, he took my **** number but never processed the credit. The last time I called he said he would look into the details again and call me back. Last time I emailed I told them I was tired of being brushed off and lied to. Alvin emailed me back and said he was not sure who lied to me but would contact me on Monday. That was from March 9th. I have never heard from him. He had copied numerous people on that email. No one responded. He told me on one of the calls that I had a contract with them and agreed to pay the money and it was my fault they couldn't finish their job because I called another company. I explained to them they charged way to much and didn't answer my calls about status of the job so they didn't live up to their end of the contract. There business practices are unacceptable. I just want my money back. I have spent so much time talking to them trying to resolve and get them to credit my ****. I don't know what else to do. Thank you for your assistance. ******

When our relatively new ***** dishwasher stopped working I searched for a ***** specialist and found ARE Appliance Repair and contacted them by phone September 3. The agent stated it sounded like a failed pump and would send a technician. Later that same day I received email notice of a **** charge which was roughly twice what I was told was the cost of a visit. I sent an email to complain about this that same day (attached) and I was told by phone that this is standard practice and I would be credited any difference once the repair was complete. The first technician came Sept 8 or 9 and replaced the pump. It did not work. He removed it and told us sometimes the new units are faulty and he will order an alternate. On September 30 a different technician came and installed a new pump. It did not work and was removed. He made vague comments about "other possibilities" and said another technician would come. On October 7 a third technician came, installed a pump, no luck. This technician seemed very knowledgeable and forthright and he eventually described how this model of dishwasher was plagued with problems and basically it wasn't worth trying to fix. We have since replaced it. After numerous phone and emails the company will not credit me with the difference between the price of a visit (roughly $180) and the charge I have paid $362.50. I was reassured numerous times that there was no additional cost incurred because of the three visits... they bore the cost if they could not repair in one visit.
