I moved into new apartment in January 2020 and the previous house owner had got custom blinds installed from budget blinds in the residence in Feb, 2019. One of the motorized blinds stopped working in March 2022 and we got the blind inspected from budget blinds. We were told by budget blinds service person that the motor has failed/not working. We had got the bill of blinds from the previous owner which showed 5 year warranty on motor. However budget blinds refused to repair the blind or fix the motor mentioning this blind is no more available/discontinued. It has only been 3 years when this blind was installed. Sharing bill details and email evidence where I have been refused service by budget blinds. I have tried reaching out to several departments within company and everyone asked me to get new blinds installed at my own expense. I have also looped in the owner of New Westminster franchise: *************************. However I have got no response. Total expense on blinds: $8436.75 Service fee: $255 Business Commit: 5 year motor operation warranty. Nature Of Dispute: Refusal of service and ignoring my requests. Resolution Requested: Repair of current blind or exchange with new blind or I can get blind installed from different place which will be cheaper than what budget blinds offer and budget blinds can pay me the amount.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Unfortunately this product was discontinued from our manufacturer and we can no longer get that style of blind anymore. We have reached out to you to discuss options on how we can move forward with the situation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *********Budget blinds reached out and are working with manufacturer to get the blind repaired. Blind has been taken from my place and is most probably being shipped to manufacturer in Ontario. If the blind is repaired and installed at my place resolution is satisfactory to me.
