Nov 30,2023 $517.48 to ****, plus $140 to some Co. In ********. And $318.00 paid by me to ******** ***** (***** ********** Parts Dept)Almost $1,000 and 5yr ********* Professional not working!Nov 27 I agreed to pick up and pay for part to expedite repair. ( The ************ control panel ). **** recommended because of Code ***** Nov 28 fridge not working after 6 hrs Codes *****. **** to pick up another mother board.Nov 29 **** still waiting for a new mother board to be delivered!I informed him about ********* &A * **** saying dont replace motherboard 1st inspect the evaporator fan and motor 1st.**** said! I know what I am doing!Nov 30 fridge was left open on ***** Instruction to defrost ice from evaporator fan. Codes went off but came back on after 7 hrs.Dec 2 A second mother board supplied by **** was installed, after 7 hrs the codes came back on *****.Dec 4 **** previously said he would buy the 1st mother board from us, now he says no.Dec 4 After 3 mother boards and no fix or help or recommendation, I asked for a Receipt for Revenue Canada.Dec 6 a receipt for $577.00 arrived.I believe the same as other reviews that excuse after ************** after delay that **** is not competent in appliance repair! And he said he would buy back from us the part we supplied.**** can have back the part he supplied.Business response

This complaint is completely inaccurate. This person seems to think ******* is a good source for research and somehow if you watch ******* you can do it better then a professional. Customer insisted to buy part himself against my advice not to. He got wrong part. Original error was SY CF which is a control board error. This causes ice buildup inside fridge when that happens it can damage the fan like it did in this case causing a second error SY EF. Customer does not know how to diagnose properly and does not understand how one problem can cause another issue to be present after the underlying problem has been fixed. In this case the underlying issue was control board allowed ice build up which damaged fan. Only after first issue is fixed can we address the second issue. We will not be issuing a refund.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
This reporting by **** at Eco is not accurate: I told ********** would pick up the part from ******** ***** who supplies ***** ********* parts for ********* Professional fridges. It was confirmed at ******** ***** that it was the right part. **** diagnosed over the phone with out coming to the house that the problem was the ************ Controller. ***** account that the code was ***** was never mentioned. It was always ***** which is an icing problem or Evaporator Fan. **** never said dont ************* up. WHY WOULD I! If I was told not to. As it stands THREE MOTHER BOARD CONTROLERS has not fixed the problem as **** replaced the original with the one I picked up, and the one he had delivered or picked up???That is when I contacted Re********* and went on ****** to confirm the Code *****! They stated do not replace the ************* 1st! And a * **** popped up to tell you this and show you how to remove parts to access the fan and motor assembly. It said the fan could be damaged, iced or the motor was inoperable. I have all the text messages 30+ that were back and forth that confirm what I am providing to the BBB. There is also damage to the floor since **** never put protective covering down while pulling the fridge in and out. I estimateSincerely,

In the past we have been very open to resolving issues that *** come up and have always resolved the problem. In this case the person complaining is not being truthful at all, with scratches on the laminated floor very unlikely considering the board is located underneath the front of the fridge and accessed from the front. Exaggeration of how many boards(hes counting the original board as one of the new boards because saying 3 boards rather then 2 boards somehow makes it sound worse) lets get it straight. There was only one wrong board that he insisted to get himself and one I got that fixed the **** original error and after 7-8 hours of the fridge running fine a new error SYEF came to be... were sorry this repair has been so difficult. But because of the limited understanding of refrigeration and the wrong "research" on ******* he bases his complaint on, it has been difficult to continue the repair. We reject this complaint in it entirety.Customer response

This is ridiculous this print out has missing info, but more important the complainant has proved that it was them who picked up the wrong part according to their own "research" which proves when they said we told them to pick up the first board was yet another lie.
The complainant in the messages previously said "why would I pick up the part if **** didn't ask me to" well looking at the text message prnt out provided by the complainant it clearly shows they pushed to pick up themselves without any suggestions from us.
I'm sure BBB can see this is bogus and will close this false complaint.
