I had bought a hair straightener from the store and later returned unopened unused. I was given a gift card code via email to use as store credit and not issued a refund. I thought this was odd but accepted it. When I tried to use the code online, it does not work. I contacted the business explaining that it does not work and recieved a reply stating I cannot use the store credit on any sale items although everything is on sale or discounted in some way. Therefore my money was taken without any refund or store credit that can be used to purchase another product even though I paid them money and gave back the product.Business response

Hi there,
There has been confusion on the customers part which was further clarified by our team (please see screenshot). The store credit was issued in store at our ****** location and customer was trying to checkout online which would be its own separate store meaning the store credit issued IN STORE will only be applicable IN STORE. This was clarified for the customer but did not hear back.
