Regarding ******** Motorsports We purchased a Gio Tron scooter advertised in by ******** at 3k.Have pictures of the ad as well. Gio website had the same price but I figured give business locally...I checked they had it in stock, and my wife called to ask if they were charged (She was told yes even though it turned out to be only 60% charged)While the man at the front was talking to me the woman (*****) charged my wife 3495 (500 dollars more than the quoted price plus of course the higher taxes which I assume got pocketed). When I pointed this out to my wife, she emailed in a very polite manner asking how this can be remedied. ***** replied to say that the reason for the price difference was because the advertisement referenced a 'create your own' model that was $3k (even though the advertisement doesn't actually say that) and because we bought one that was already built, that's why it was more. Which is inaccurate because as stated, we had confirmed the price and chose to go with them over Gio themselves at the same price to support a local business. The advertisement is attached, and you can see the description which doesn't say anything about create your own.Ironically you can also read the words 'pre-built' as meaning the display model.Multiple times my wife followed up requesting that ***** do anything to try to make things right, and is now being ignored, so we are in a position where informing potential buyers, better business bureau and if needed small claims court are the only options.(I can forward my wife's email chain with ******** if this helps facilitate things)

When they came in to look at the Tron mobility scooter the paper work was advertisement was taped to it. it says $3000.00 pdi freight ****** doc fees 50.00

and at the desk I explained it to them before doing the paper work and running there card through the machine she was fine with it with no complaints.

I  was responding back and forth with emails till the last one when I got home my son said they were *********'s him they went back and forth for a while but my son has nothing to do with this Sinclair's motorsports **** and they stated they were going to place this all over the place so i decided at that time I  was not going to respond to the last email they sent me.  His wife stated in the email that her husband being retired and plenty of time to hang out in front of are store with this information and harassing's  us.

Pulse they sent an email letter to gva brands.

everyone of are machines have advertising on them with pdi ,freight and doc fees so all the customers now what they are paying.

As you can see i sent 3 pics one was are advertisement that was on the bike and the other 2 are gva brand advertisements  on the internet

      Thank You

      Complaint: 21749495

I am rejecting this response because:
There was no such sign as the business claims.
There was an ad on ********** (photo sent in original complaint)
Even that ad describes none of these "extra added fees..."
Nor does it make any sense to charge more for what is sitting at the front of the store in the entranceway (a very obvious display model)

I contacted them today on phone, pointed out that their statement was untrue as they know.
They said see you in court, her husband was abusive, they hung up.
I call again to ask why and inform them that I have posted yelp and ****** reviews due to all of this.
I am then told they are calling the police to charge me with harassment...
So no...nothing is anywhere close to resolved

      Sincerely,

      *****************

I sent photos on last email sent to you. ***************** was abusive to me and we taped all calls he did to me. Complaint: 21749495

I am rejecting this response because:
Obviously there cannot be satisfaction granted through BBB as it degenerates into we say/they say and BBB lacks the authority to enforce any decisions...
All proofs and logic fall on the side of our claim and as can be seen at BBB when companies have given exemplary service as many unlike ******** do (they don't even do the bare minimum for any customer as demonstrated by the numerous complaints) I also give commendations and praise.
We are not the kind of customers prone to complain except in situations of blatant robbery with a lie/cover story that doesn't actually make any logical sense and even highlights further lies since GV (makers of GIO) had the same 3k sale at the time as proven by my communications with them, or a simple phone call.
As to abuse and police being called.  Nothing I said was abusive nor have I had any communication with any police or other authorities regarding anything I have said or done. As to continued harassing calls, I have not called in the last couple days.  Only the day I got the initial report of their false claim re a flyer on their display model ADDING an extra 500 that no one else charges did I call.  Irrelevant to details anyways most likely.
I believe other than small claims (which is done online nowadays I have discovered), continuing to post reviews with proof, contacting the ** "Consumer Matters"  people as well as parking adjacent to their business to show and tell potential customers about their shoddy treatment, shady business practices and lack of support for the products they sell.
I think 4 or 5 lost sales will balance the scales somewhat as well as hopefully saving some people from being ripped off or worse injured from purchasing riding equipment that is not properly put together.
Not mentioned in complaint as the main impetus of the complaint took precedence but the back from when I drove home from ******** was cracked.
*****'s response saved in email : Put tape on it and we will order in the part and you can take it home to fix it yourself...
Hence my statement regarding mentioning poor builds as well as poor business practices.
If I'm wrong and BBB can create a resolution, that would be nice, but it seems unlikely through this resource unfortunately.

      Sincerely,

      *****************

      Complaint: 21749495

I am rejecting this response because:

I'm not quite understanding the purpose of ********** latest response.

As far as the part they ordered for the scooter they sold me already broken, I have not picked it up because I would rather go without than speak to them again, until it is a matter of facing them in small claims court, be it online or in person. Telling somebody you are going to inform other potential customers about their deplorable practices is not abuse or threatening.

In my last statement here on BBB I said that I understand that obviously other than a figurative slap on the wrist, and the record of the bad practices, there is nothing going to be accomplished here, unlike when I have sent good reviews with businesses I have been impressed with.

Also, as I said in my last statement about future dealings due to the lack of ability by BBB to actually enforce a ruling, I am now dealing with Consumer Reports, and filing small claims.

      Sincerely,
