I sought a service from Darren L, the business owner, of replacing my ****** battery. We talked at length prior to the work being done about the strength of the ***** brand batteries that ***** uses in their ******, and what the ***** Store uses for their replacement batteries. Darren confirmed with me that he could install a stronger mAh ***** brand battery into my ****** for the same price as the ***** Store charges ( $65 ) The agreement was that Darren would install a brand new 3400 mAh ***** brand battery in my ****** ** Plus and that I would have a full one year warranty for the battery through Darren. Darren ***********ly, in conversation, text and images he sent me, deceived me into believing that the battery he had in stock was a 3400 mAh ***** brand battery. During the installation, I saw that he installed a much lesser price and much lesser quality and strength ********** brand battery. The cheaper ********** battery he installed into my ****** is $20 after shipping to Greater Vancouver, and there is NO warranty on it. The ***** brand battery he assured me he would install is $55 after shipping. The performance of this cheaper ********** battery is as good as the dying battery that he removed. After the replacement, I called, emailed and texted Darren asking for an explanation but he chose to not reply to any form of communication from me for a week or more. All calls to him went straight to voicemail. So, frustrated and hurt ** *** *********** ********* ** *** ******* ** ********* I posted accurate and factual reviews of my experiences with him, one of the reviews was on the BBB page for his unaccredited business. Spitefully, Darren decided to try to contradict his own statements in a comment response to my review *** ** *** ***** ** **** *** ****** *** *** *** ************* ********* ******** I have received a partial refund of $30 from him. Not enough. I am needing a full refund from Darren for the balance of my payment, which is $42.80.Customer response

My suspicion for the reasonings of darren l******* the owner of bk ****** repairs to ************* ******* me, the customer, and ************* overcharge me for the low quality of the ****** ** **** battery that he installed is this.
I think that he chose to overcharge me because of the fact that I diligently spoke with him on the phone 3 - 4 times over the space of about a month and a half initially with the intention to see if he was able to accommodate a lower cost considering that I am ** ********** *** **** ***** *** *******
When it was confirmed by the owner that he could not, then my intention of talking with him on the phone was to find the confidence that he would install the ***** brand battery ( which he said was a higher mAh rating than the ***** ***** uses ) and that was my right to do so.
I think he chose to **** me because in his mind I took up too much of his time on the phone. It is obvious that he was lying to me the entire time over the month and a half that we communicated prior to the work being done. And I think that it bothers him now that this fact is being exposed.
I did nothing wrong as a consumer of his business. And the only solution for darren l******* is to admit to his *********** **** and **** to me through the BBB or directly to me. AND to also reimburse me the remaining cost that I have paid him, which is $42.80 CAD.
