604 Installs Complaint
**************************************
**************
I had this company install security cameras on July 3, 2024.
They had quoted $300 for the work. They overcharged me $350, for a total of $650 and broke my **** and then tried hiding it where I wouldnt find it. I also got glass in my finger from when I recovered it that has gone under my skin and which my Doctor hasnt been able to remove, so I have to deal with the pain of that every day.
I had also caught the installer taking breaks when he wasnt supposed to, talking to people when he was supposed to be working, and doing very strange things such as grabbing a rake and doing our yard work for some reason, which I argued with him about and told him he needed to get back to installing the cameras.
We had a lot of issues with the installer when he was here. And he even disassembled some doors on a cabinet we have which had absolutely nothing to do with what he was hired for. He also told us how his brother ****** *******, the owner of the company, ***** ********* ** *** and never tells him how much he charged a client so that he wouldnt have to pay the amount owed to him. When Silvan and his brother both arrived they both said they need the password to my wi-fi and needed access to my Network, which didnt seem right as I gave them the **** to use since it already shows all my cameras on it, and will show when they add the new ones to my system, so there wouldnt be any need for the password. They said I could give it to them later on in the install and the installer later kept asking me about it and they also made some comments about him needing access to make phone calls. I specifically had to create a Guest network with a password just for that day as I certainly didnt trust them to have access to my network as it wasnt necessary for them to have that.
And after they left, I was able to go through hours of security footage proving everything, including showing where they hid the **** in an area where we would have never found it. I had also sent Silvan some of the footage and he said he fired his brother and that he was going to make sure his brother never works in the industry again and he said his ***************** agreed to pay $550 for the **** and that he will make things right with the overcharges and talk to his brother about it.
It was extremely difficult to get Silvan to respond and he would constantly lie and give endless excuses to why he was delaying transferring the funds to me and he kept trying to tell me he is an honest person, which he has proven that he isnt at all.
When we finally told him we would report it to the BBB and initiate a Lawsuit if necessary, he then agreed to pay $1,000 a week later on August 2 to resolve the overcharge and which included the Insurance money he received.
I agreed to wait until then, and he immediately began giving excuses on why it will take until then and on that day he said he was sending it but he then only sent $100 and claimed that was his e-Transfer limit for the day and that he will still be sending me the rest.
I explained to him that the limit is typically $3,000 but that the Bank can increase the transfer limit so he can sent it at once. As soon as I told him that, he refused to respond to any of my text messages or emails anymore about it. I told him if I didnt receive the rest by August 23 I would file the complaint with the Better Business Bureau and how Insurance fraud is a crime if he doesnt pay me the insurance money he was paid, that was supposed to go to me for it.
The last time I heard from him was August 9 when he said he will get me the rest. I havent received a response from any of my messages since then and he still hasnt paid the remaining $900 that he promised to send then.
