      Shady service department. Lies about time frames. My car sat in lot for one month and was not scheduled for diagnostic until a complaint was made to their corporate service manager. The service advisor tried to bill for work that the warranty coordinator had said was covered after 2 months of no follow up to messages, then called to harass us and refused to transfer us to the manager. Concern with behavior and egregious customer service made to ownership KOT group, zero response or follow up. Avoid this dealership.

      ***** *** ****** 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Limited 2.0T. Extreme consumption of engine oil issues, ********* ***** *******. We bought the vehicle new from Victoria Hyundai, Also purchased an extended warranty. We notified them of the oil consumption issue, that we had to add a litre of oil every 2 weeks or so at approximately 750km or less.

      Firstly, they told us to bring the car in every 1000km (6 times) so they could do the consumption test on the oil. After the second test the service manager told my wife that it was normal (?) for an engine to use a litre of oil every 1500 km (?), they also said that we could continue to bring our car in for testing but it was only down 3/4 of a litre this time. We could pay to have a new motor installed at our expense or sell the car (to some other person. Sorry but most people aren’t wired that way; to sell something that is defective, what a nerve). All we want is for them to fix the problem, either by them or by an authorized repair shop. Very disconcerting that the Service Manager would make that recommendation. Zero rating I’m afraid. I shake my head!

      Victoria Hyundai takes every concern seriously. After the vehicle was brought in Victoria Hyundai reached out to Hyundai Canada for direction. Hyundai Canada asked us to do an oil change and do 6 oil consumption tests. We have only completed 2 tests so far that recorded 0.9 and 0.75. These tests could be considered abnormal or borderline, but we cannot do anything without completing the rest of the tests. There was no additional codes reporting from the engine. The advisor they dealt with simply suggested that if they are unhappy with the vehicle they could look at trading it in. We had certain sales ongoing at the time - invoice pricing etc. that might have made sense for some consumers to look at. Client needs to finish the recommended tests for us to go any further.

      Absolutely the worst customer service, I will never buy a car from Hyundai Victoria again. I bought my car from Hyundai Victoria (HV) in 2016. In August of this year, my engine died while I was driving it. I had a mechanic come and take a look at it and he informed me that my cars engine had seized and that there is a settled class action lawsuit against Hyundai for this very issue. I had my car towed down to HV on August 17th to wait for its new engine. ********* ** *** ******** * ****** ************* ** ** ** *** * *** ** ********* ***** *** ******** ********** When I submitted my first invoice on September 20th I was told it would not be covered because I did not arrange the rental through HV. I asked them to arrange for the rental and have heard nothing back since. I sent a follow up email on September 29th and have not had response to that one either. HV has had my car for 7 weeks, no updates, no answers, no response.
