I paid $6,150 for a truck in August 2021, by September 2021 the main ECU failed leaving me with no vehicle for 3 months while it was replaced. Since then, the truck has been inspected once by a mechanic shop and once by MPI Vehicle Safety. Vehicle Safety has given me an order to repair by the 19th of May or I will no longer have a roadworthy vehicle. The truck was sold as safetied and with no rust, but there is multiple issues with rust and improper repairs, and I allege that LJ Motors ********* sold a vehicle with an improper safety, and that their mechanic, Darryl******** of ******************** or one of his employees, ********* did improper repairs to the vehicle.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/05/24) */ This customer is wrong on multiple notes. This customer went to 4 different shops and tried to get MPI involved to get us to fix his vehicle almost 1 year later. ************************************** We will not be fixing any of the repairs he has requested as the truck was in perfect working order with no defects at all when it was sold to him. They went through the vehicle thoroughly at the time of sale and there was no issues or complaints from him until around 9 months after the vehicle was sold except for an ECM replacement. MPI has not given us any order to fix at all and we will not be fixing anything. Have a good day. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/06/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) ***************************************** The truck has been to one home mechanic and one shop before going to MPI, for starters. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** the first actual shop and MPI BOTH identified MULTIPLE failures which should have been completed at time of safety, including the improper repair of the body mounts, the amount of rust on the vehicle, and problems with the brakes (which, apparently, were all BRAND NEW when the vehicle was purchased... in August 2021). I contacted the dealership about the defect with the ECM and received no help whatsoever, obviously I would not contact them again in the future. ***************************** I spoke with a Vehicle Safety Officer IN PERSON today (31 May 2022) and was told that MPI has issued a Notice to Repair to both the dealership and the mechanic ********************************************************************************************
