Illia (manager of Prairie Rubber Paving) did my driveway in August 2020. He did some follow up work in 2020. He told me to call him in spring of 2021 to come and finish the work as he told me to pick up a spacer for the city water on off valve. I did and called in the spring. Illia was no longer with the company. Carter was the new manager. After dealing with Carter and Corrie (from head office Winnipeg *** *** **** *** **) for a year and a half, they refused to finish Illias work, unless I paid more money. It's as if new manager starts and all previous obligations are no longer honored. I hope this problem can be resolved with the BBBs help. Thank youBusiness response

The project was finished and paid in full upon Ilia leaving the site. The customer has asked us to do additional work to the area under what they claim is “warranty”. The driveway has no remediation required and we have no dialogue of the additional work we agreed to do. We offered to do this work at cost to assist the customer and come to a resolution but this is a change order from the original scope. Building up the driveway to match a drain cap is something we can do but not at our sole expense.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I am not asking for warranty work. I wanted the job to be completed in May 2021.That's when Ilia said to call him and he would finish it before he got too busy. The original job was finished at the end of August 2020. The job was only 8 months old (May 1st, 2021) 6 months was winter time and Prairie Rubber's off season.
Sincerely,

To be honest I do not have much more to add to this complaint.
The customer had work done by us and the job was finished and paid in full. Ken wanted his driveway built up more but a drainage cap on the driveway dictated the height the installation could be completed. Ilia told Ken if he had a higher drainage cap that we could build up the driveway. This was not something to be done at our expense after the fact. Ken picked up a taller drainage cap and then told Ilia to come back and build up the driveway. Ilia was no longer with our company that year so the request was given to our new territory manager Carter. Carter told Ken that he would build up the driveway at cost but this was not a warranty claim as the driveway had no problems apart from Ken wanting it built up. Ken then called head office to tell us Carter was not dealing with a warranty claim. We asked if there was any deterioration of the driveway to which there is none. The only way to appease Ken is to build up his driveway at our expense fully which we are not prepared to do so I have no idea how we are supposed to proceed. Building it up at our hard cost is a reasonable compromise but I am not taking on this expense for a project that has no problems 3 years after it was completed. Ken has never provided any proof that we agreed to this either.
