Kevin ******* of Add On Renovations blew overspray throughout our brand new home. Kevin is trying to collect $4k and put a lien on our title. Yet the costs to clean the mess, general cleaners, dry dust walls, hire movers to relocate furniture to dust and carpet clean, clean furniture, etc. are in excess of this amount. Kevin did not have sub trades and the taper quit & then the guy who was to mud drywall never showed. Kevin took week off to travel to Edmonton during this period. The guy to install drywall mud is working In dark with cage lights on floor and no fans. Kevin is wasting our money looking for taper/mudder, & driving to house with fans to dry mud. The day he over sprayed he drives to fix his sprayer and again to pick up paint, same day. Just killing time. Then he sprays primer & doesn't seal off stairs and blows everywhere. I have video showing this exchange. They had no poly on stairs & after Connie left to cool off. Kevin then put poly on stairs but didn't secure to floor so they were still blowing overspray. The helper was cleaning up mess when Connie returned. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2022/05/12) */ May 11, 2022 The job I was hired to do for Doug and Connie ******* was a basement development on their new home. Everything was going along fine with the job. My drywaller quit in the middle of the job while I was on my way back to Winnipeg from Edmonton***** ************** I was able to get another drywaller on March 10 to finish the job. He was to start Monday, March 14th but did not start till Tuesday, March 15th. He said he would be done on Friday, March 18th which he was. Connie was not happy with the dust the drywaller left. I came in on Monday morning on March 21 to prep for primer-sealer. As my normal process, I vacuumed and wiped down all the ceilings, walls, and the floors to make sure there was no dust before starting to paint. This took most of the day. The next day, Tuesday, march 22, I started to spray and back roll in the far small bedroom. I had the window open and a fan blowing out to create back pressure to keep the dust down. Continued down the hall, bathroom and into the rec room when I ran out of primer sealer. I noticed the back spray dust in the foyer at the top of the stairs. It wiped easily with a damp cloth. Connie came down just as I was finishing the painting and began yelling at me about the dust upstairs. I apologized to Connie repeatedly for this issue. I told her I would clean it up and pay for a professional cleaning service. I am also willing to pay for furnace and duct cleaning. Connie had accepted my apology as per text she sent but them changed her mind a few hours later and released me from the job. I have made every reasonable effort to resolve what the *******s took issue with but refused to work with me. I have always been very professional at my job and never had an unhappy customer up until this point. Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2022/05/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Kevin did not notice the overspray. We all know overspray is a waste of product and incorrectly installed. The drywall taper he located through a trade who came to our home. The dust from 2nd taper/mud left message saying he cleaned up, not true. Connie pointed this out to Kevin & she cleaned up but it wasn't such a big deal as Kevin now states & wasn't sprayed through the home. Yes Kevin will pay to clean up, we can't work with Kevin *********************************************************** That is why he is off the job. **************************************************************** His helper is slamming our front door so the walls/pictures shake, when we asked them to stop because they will break something, Kevin raises his voice if we break anything we will pay. Kevin did not have poly on stairs, after he was yelled, they later added poly sheet but then never secured it. Kevin ******************************************* texted to find out how the taper was doing. ************************** **************************************************************************** There was a huge mess, very costly, ***************************************************************************************************************
