Called MBM Plumbing because I thought my water pump was dying. Appointment was for 9 AM May 4, 2023. Two men arrived at approximately 9:15 AM . Turns out the problem was with the pressure tank not the pump. Both men left after about 15 -20 minutes to go back to Winnipeg to pick up the parts. Both men returned at about 10:45 AM with the parts . The new tank was installed by 12 noon. The two men were actually in my house for a total about two hours. In my opinion this was a one man job not two man job. I was quite upset when they handed me the bill for $******** . The parts were $****** which was fair , the fuel charge was $** * The labor bill for $****** for 3 hours ( which was really just 2 hours because they charged me for their trip to pick up the parts ) was unbelievable !!! This guy sells and provides all kinds of services. I ran across MBM plumbing************************ and got in contact with "John" about a Woodstove and he said he could provide the product and install and the WETT certification for insurance purposes. The woodstove itself is as it should be but the install which seemed okay at the start was totally *******. My wife and I noticed a lot of back puffing from the stove as a lot of smoke entered the room every time we opened the woodstove door. In spring we checked all the piping and found about a 2 inch gap between the stove pipe and the wall pipe. So, it was sucking air back into the pipe and forcing smoke and carbon monoxide back into our house from January to May. I fixed the pipe and subsequently contacted "John" no response. *************************************************************** *************************************************************** **************

This stove was installed November 2020
Haven't herd anything from home owner till he texted me in November 2021 .
So stove was used all last winter with no complaints and this November I get a text saying stove wasn't hooked up correctly.
All we did is swap out his 30 year old Woodstove to install a new blaze king Woodstove.
Anyone who does stove noes there's a chimney flange that the double wall black pipe inside gets attached to and screwed onto it's impossible to not attach correctly and even more impossible to have a 2" gap further more smoke is pulled into the chimney the only way it pulls into house is if you have a negative air pressure from having a drier or range hood on in house reversing the air flow.
The other thing it could be the new paint burning off new stove and black chimney inside.
Which is always gets a phone call from customers the first use as it will create smoke into house till burnt in this is normal on a new stove.
This isn't a normal reaction to an so called improper install most people would call immediately not a year later .
They would definitely want it fixed at the time of probably not a year later .
So I stand behind the install as to date I haven't had a call from customer as of December 6/2021.
I will be calling the customer to get to the bottom of these ***** complaints as a 35 year old business I don't like negative comments being made against our company I prefer to deal over the phone or in person and if somethings not right it will be made correct this is our business policy!
