August 29, 2023 Hired this company to repair my driveway. They did a poor job and I was not satisfied. I called several times to ask them come back to fix and they will not answer my calls. Pictures are attached.Business response

Hello, when we quoted this job I explained that her asphalt is in very poor shape and we would do the best we can. A asphalt paving company actually referred us to her because replacing her driveway was not in the budget. Crack sealing always looks poor but serves a purpose. The patch work was done to best of our ability with excavating her driveway. Unfortunately there is not a good base under her driveway and will always cause issues. I have photos attached of what we had to work with. She was out of town when we completed the work and returned weeks after and paid us with no complaints. It was several months to 6 months later when she started calling with complaints. There is nothing more we can do to help her driveway other than replace and that is not an option for a driveway that was in very bad shape.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Most of the statement made by this business is false.
It was one week out of town, not weeks.
The sealant wasn’t the problem it was the patch work. Newly done it looked fine but only took a few times to drive over and it was crumbling. Calls were made to this business maybe a couple of months later but he would not answer. Even called his father who advised me to call if there were any issues. Nothing came from that call either.
After the winter, it got worse.
This is the only business who said the driveway was in such bad shape. Nobody else said the whole thing needed replacing.
If he knew his work wouldn’t be satisfactory, he shouldn’t have taken the job. He swindled $1700 cash out of a senior and he knew he would get away with it. If he was an honest businessman he would have not taken her money. Any respectable person would have made an effort to try and come up with another solution to make it better for the customer. But to know it was a shit job and still take the money is pathetic.
