-We Own a home in Nova Scotia -We had a local company (Ron Martin Plumbing) come in to replace the sump pump in the home in May 2023, paid $1200 plus for replacement -We had flooding this year and ****** services from ********* ******** *** ***** ** ***** ****** *** **** **** ******* ** *** ********* ******* - We called the pluming company to go in to fix the issue and all they said was that there was no power to the pump and plugged it in to a different outlet - that service call cost us $186 and the problem is not fixed -In the current invoice it is mentioned that the pump pit is too small for the pump they put in, but was never mentioned in the year previous invoice of installation -I called the company directly to speak to the owner and was told they would call me back, they did not, so I placed a ****** review on the companies site and they figured that responding to it rather than call me was the proper way to go and did not own up to the fact that what they did was wrong. I sent a subsequent email to them with still no response. -we are now having another person go in to assess and fix the problem as we do not want Ron Martin Plumbing to come to our home to fix the issue. -End state: we wish to be fully reimbursed of all costs from Ron Martin Plumbing so it can be put towards the new service call of the new plumber.Business response

The location of the spot where the Sump pump is located is not ideal. It is behind the bath tub with no room for a regular size sump pit. This is not unusual for us to try and work with what's there. Upon the first trip back after many months the technician found that there was no power going to the pump so he reported that he plugged the pump into a different electrical outlet and it came on and was working properly ( indicates pump was doing its job and working), no notice was made that the side walls of the make shift sump pit were caved in. It was observed on a no charge visit by the owner of Ron Martin's Plumbing during removal of the floor and piratical removal of walls by restoration company. The walls have collapsed probably due to a great deal of water entering from numerous locations (none plumbing related). Due diligence on the property owners part would have not let this water situation go this far.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: During the initial repair, nothing was ever mentioned when the new pump was being installed and that the pump pit was too small or that there were any issues during that time (I was at the home during that time of initial install in 2023) and no one came out to say anything to me about issues. We understand that the area is not ideal to where the pump is located, but it is what it is as we did not create this home and we've only bought it two years ago. As for the no charge for a service call this year, the attached invoice shows that I was charged for that service call and notes inside it state issues about the pit and the pump being on an angle, and was charge for the service call of looking at the pump and someone unplugging the pump and plugging it back in (please review the attached sent). We are still not happy with the results and wish for the BBB to continue the reviewing process.
