Good day. This is pertaining to Dental services for my son on March 29, 2022. My son had dental procedures for multiple teeth back on October 22, 2020 by Dr. Shelina D. DDS at the Scarborough ********* ******** totalling $4721.00 Dr. D. is also the owner of Dentistry 4 Kids. Move up to March 26th 2022 when one of my son's metal crowns fell out! This was less than 17 months after the inital procedure. I was told by Dr D.'s staff that a brand new crown would have to be put on as the first one was not useable, and that they would not cover the costs because another dentist would have to do the procedure as Dr D. would not be in the office until the end of the month! I argued that a crown should never just fall out and the new crown and procedure should be the covered under the work of Dentistry 4 kids. Not only did they charge me for the new crown, they also charged additional fees for Anaesthesia and Restorative services totaling approx $562.00 of which I told them I could not afford. My insurance provider ****** **** also denied the claim stating it has been less than 36months since that tooth was repaired and they do not cover the same tooth and same procedure under this time period. I should add I had a similar situation myself where my filling fell out. Due to it being less than 2 years my dentist covered the entire procedure free of charge as they know it's not "billable" This is unacceptable practice and Dentistry 4 Kids are robbing childrens' parents. * ** * ****** ****** *** * **** **** ********* *******
