We made a contract for Kitchen extension with the contractor on June 5th. They requested a full payment if I need to go with installment payment through another company Paybright. We did that too and started paying our monthly from July. However, after following up from a long time, they replied they could not find the color to match the existing kitchen, for which I asked them that they can change the color of my existing kitchen to a paint they would be able to get easily. For the same reason, they agreed to change the doors itself for my existing kitchen and I agreed to pay for the hinges. In November, they installed the cabinets, installed the doors and since 2 months I am trying to get them to finish the job for the counter top. They keep giving excuses that they cannot get their supplier to get a matching counter top but I even asked to get a black counter top. But still no reply and so I have a kitchen without a counter top and they try to use the excuse saying they gave free doors so they had to spend lot of money which is definitely not my problem.Initial Complaint

Hello June 2023 I have the J94 design work on my mud room the project requires 5500$ I have pay 1/2 before and the day instead I have pay the rest witch was add for us cuz usually u pay the rest after complete the project but ok … after completing the work and me paying everything it comes out ok except the bunch was shorted then expected…but ok …. I have ask them For more work I’m doing in my house ( ceiling wood ) and explain exactly what have to be done we establish the colour they have taken the measurements and I have pay 2000$ deposit after day before I try to reach out to them bout what time will be coming since I work to they told me in the 9am ok .. I have pay the other 2000$ so the total again was 5500$ plus the hst … the day of the installation I have call them and we been waiting for them finally ******* call me and told me the material was rong and they will have to reorder or what I want them to do since my time line with this work was short we discussed with my husband we will not proceed until few months and we have requested the money been returned to us ! Unfortunately 3 days past by we try to call email ******** messages nothing work they will not respond it so we decide to contact you guys for help this company is definitely not to they words taking people hard made money is definitely not ok the 1833 is not working at all.******* have call me from no caller I’d witch was very strange to me but the last message she made to me was as from this # ************ This is the company on ******** and this was the last message can u please contact them directly we want out money back thank uInitial Complaint

I placed a 50% deposit ($900) via Etransfer on September 6th, 2022 for a custom order that was promised to be completed in November 2022. The week that the order was to be delivered, I messaged them to get a delivery date. After several attempts (over 15 text messages, over 15 Instagram messages, dozens of phone calls/voicemails and several emails), I am getting one excuse after another. When I finally received an email back, specifically on January 14th, they wanted my bank account number, branch and transit number to send an ETF. I responded to send me an Etransfer as that is how I paid my deposit. They said they are not setup to do etransfers and asked for the same banking info a second time. I didn’t feel comfortable giving them my banking information and in fact, customer service at my financial institution discouraged me sending them this information. After a few emails, they responded with my request for a certified cheque, with “let me look into it and get back to you”. The next email I received yesterday, January 17th was “ We are waiting for our etransfer to reset its limit so we can send you an email transfer.” I emailed them today to inquire about when I could expect my refund and there has been no reply. I have left a voicemail, sent a text message, Instagram message, messenger message and email today, with no response.Initial Complaint

On Nov 27, we sent a $677.44 deposit for a laundry cabinet to be made for our home, based off deposit invoice #***. We were to be sent sketches to confirm dimensions and features prior to the unit being made. The original timeline was around Christmas or just after, then he reconfirmed for January "sometime". I contacted Jan 11 as we had not heard a single word and asked to be refunded as we hadn't even confirmed sketches. We were told they had Covid employee shortages and issues since converting to a new CRM. We were assured we would be contacted in the coming days with pictures of the "almost finished unit", the one that was never approved prior to the build. He refused to refund the deposit as the unit was basically complete, which it could not have been cause he couldn't provide sketches at any point. I contacted them via email, ******** messenger, text message and voicemail (as their phone number never rings to be answered. It only goes straight to voicemail) with no response. Feb 17th, ** messenger message stating delivery "possibly" by end of next week. I messaged back Feb 25th asking for an update and did not receive a message until March 9, stating they will confirm delivery that day and that it would be delivered this upcoming week. March 12: got another message asking if they can deliver with an option of 3 days. We confirmed back 30 mins later and selected Sat Mar 19 from 2-5pm. They never confirmed back, no one showed on Saturday, and we have not heard a word back since. On September 17, 2021 I gave J94 designs a deposit for $8000 to complete work in 3 areas of My home. We had agreed on a date in November that the work will be completed and a worst-case guarantee of before the Christmas holidays. Between September and December they came and did small amounts of work, left incomplete, messy and poor quality. They still guaranteed a completion date of before the holidays. I gave them many chances To complete the work and each time they will show up items would either be a poor quality or incorrect and not as what we discussed. They were supposed to come back on December 28 to complete all work and did not come. They then cancelled on three more occasions. They claimed cove it, time limitations and manufacturing issues. On the last attempt to install in January, They Told me the night before I would need a plumber to remove the existing washing machine and sink hook ups. This had never been told to me until the night before install. It is a nearly impossible to get a plumber to come out with less than 24 hours notice. At that point I no longer felt comfortable giving any more chances for the project to be completed so I asked for a refund. They told me that I had one of two options that they could come back and complete the work over a three day. Or they could come and pick up all the items from my home and they would give me a full refund. I discussed things with my husband and decided that we would not continue with the project. We then set up a date for them to come and remove all items which they agreed to sign off on paperwork at the time to confirmed no damage to any of the items. They agreed but once they got here refused to sign any paperwork. They also refused to take all items back. They have sense made claims of racism and aggressive behaviour and have told me they are keeping my money. I told him that I could get a police officer escort to oversee the removal of the property if that made them more comfortable. They refused
