I needed a 12 foot HDMI cable but somehow ended up with a 6 foot cable. When I realized the error I tried to exchange for the correct length the next day. I was told no refunds or exchanges. The customer service gave me one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I made an online order it got cancelled and then made another one (canceled again obviously) then I ordered some other model of the same brand of product to pick up from store. Yesterday, I used the live chat option to ask about why my orders were keep getting cancelled and then a very **** representative insisted on I already got two through store pick up and the limit was two. I kept telling her those are not the same item. I even gave them all my order numbers and information so that they can see my orders. I also told them I have proof of purchases if you need. And the response she gave me was: “Is there anything else I can help you with?” The representative was very **** and somehow she didn’t want to believe me intentionally. Today, I have called and talked to a very nice representative where she was trying to help me and she said it was an inventory issue and there is stock now but I could not order because the sale was gone and they would not honour the price. Later she asked to her supervisor and, the response she gave me was overall the limit on these products is two. So, I asked her why is her manager giving a different response than her and she connected me with the supervisor. The supervisor said “There is nothing we can do and there is a limit which is in terms and conditions.” When I asked him where is this information on T&C page and he couldn’t point me… And I stated that I have never ordered this brand or similar type of products through The Source before (except the cancelled ones) but he also told me that he checked with the order team and they indicated I supposedly have already bought this item before (which again obviously I never did through source). I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at The Source, *** * ******* **** ******* ** ***** ** ************ ** ******* ***** ***** I placed an online order for pick-up at The Source ******** MALL. Despite waiting until 11:57 AM without any updates, I received no notification. Concerned, I called in and spoke with a ****** staff member who assured me that my order was ready for pick-up. However, upon arriving at the store at 7:30 PM on the same day, I encountered two male staff members who spent half an hour fruitlessly searching for my order in their system. They shifted blame onto me for not waiting for a "ready for pick-up" email, disregarding their coworker's confirmation. When I questioned why, after 19 hours, my order had not been fulfilled or even canceled, they were unable to provide an explanation or inform me of the order's status. To my dismay, they even showed me a receipt from another customer who had placed the same item after my order but had already picked it up. **** ****** ****** ** ** ***** ***** **** *** ***** driving back and forth 1 HOUR to the store. If the item was not in stock, I should have been promptly notified so that I could have made alternative arrangements. Unfortunately, I was met with ************ *** indifference. ** **** ******* ****** the staff members refused to apologize or offer any assistance. Purchased ***** earbud Headphones for $29.99 at a Vending Machine owned by The Source at Pearson Airport on Dec 5, 2023 at 7:03AM. I opened the headphones and realized they are not the right connection to my phone. So I couldn’t use them. I landed and went to the Source and was told they could not exchange them I would have to call *****. I called ***** customer care and was informed they could not help me because I purchased them at a 3rd Party. The Source would have to be the ones to help me. I returned to the store and was directed to The Source customer care. They informed me that it was final sale once opened, that’s is their policy and there was nothing they could do. I asked to be escalated to a supervisor and the customer agent reluctantly and ****** passed me to Douglas the supervisor. He came on the phone, did not allow me to speak and went right into his speech where he cannot help me. It’s a policy. I was mad he couldn’t even say ask me how are you. The phone call was on Dec 6, 2023 at 11:30am EST. zero care for customers. Exceptions to policies can always be made to do what’s right for the consumer. I will never purchase anything from the Source again. I am surprised how poor a customer service supervisor can be. Speak to people like humans, not a robot reciting a policy. buying from their vending machine there is no one telling you “are you sure, you can’t return if it’s open”. There return policy is not written on the vending machine. I’m so upset to be stuck with ***** headphones that the company should be able to return to ***** to be recycled and repackage and sold accordingly. Also ***** should do better to ensure 3rd parties selling their product takes the necessary actions to make their customers satisfied.Review from Bette M

The folks at The Source in CrossIron Mills gave exceptional service. They spent lots of time with us as we set up our new phones. Other places we went to seemed in a big rush. Not so with these guys.Review from Don P

I was denied a $75 refund because I didn't return the original packaging but had the original receipt. The part was previously purchased by someone else and returned to their shelves with the plastic bubble taped back in place. ***** ***** ****** I have been shopping at the Source since it was called Radio Shack...that should tell you something. I have never had so many negative experiences as I have had with the Source in Waneta Plaza in Trail. I will actually drive all the way to Castlegar ( and have ! ) to buy something rather than enter this location. Twice in the past I have gone in with my son to purchase something that was on sale only to be told, sorry that's not that price anymore as they snatched the tag off the shelf. The second time the manager ( Lori I believe ) even went as far as to snicker at me behind my back as she had remembered it happening before. Today, I went in for a laptop, only reason I did go in is because they are the only store that had one available. Low and behold, it's not. Says so online, but they don't have it in stock. How does that work? Don't you have inventory control, or is theft that big in there now that people are stealing laptops from inside display cases. Regardless. Once again. Disappointed and let down. I would rather keep driving to Castlegar or better yet. I'll just shop at **** *** from now on.Review from ALISH M

Went to source store in ******** **** ****-Kitchener on Boxing day (26/12) to buy phone and ******* to give my brother as a gift. They lure me with financing options and offered discount on ******* purchase. But my brother wanted different phone, so on 28th-Dec I went to store, and they doesn't have the phone that I was looking. so when I demand to cancel phone purchase and plan. Store Manager asked additional $400+ payment to cancel plan by saying that's the additional amount is for ******* even though I paid whole amount for *******. After so many requests and long discussion I was threatened by telling that they will call Mall security and when mall security arrived they told me that Manager said I am trespassing into the store even though I was silent and wanting to return phone. And after long talk with security, Manager approved refund but only if I return *******. so returned ******* and phone purchase. But then Manager was keep refusing refund even after approval, 1st he said if I open any box he will not do refund, but luckily my brother didn't open any product. 2nd. he said servers are not working and wanting me to come back again. I waited already 1 or 2 hour so I was willing to wait more. and 3rd. he said product is not purchased from our store. and at that point I found that the sales rep. doesn't even scan right product at the time of purchase. but finally after so much explanation. He finished refund, all I was looking for was right phone if possible or ******* with discount purchase price. But what I get was life learning experience. And worst Cx service from Manager in Kitchener (******** **** ****) source.Review from Michael S

I ordered a TV September 14, 2022. Arrived September 21, 2022, with no feet and the wrong remote. Called customer service and was assured the items would be shipped out. Items did not arrive and when I contacted customer service, they said their parts department hadn't responded to them about the parts. This went on for weeks, when I finally said forget about the feet, just send me the remote or I will buy the remote and The Source reimburse me. They would not agree to reimbursing me and continued to say they will look into getting the remote. At one point one of the agents said she was sending me a gift card for the month of waiting for this remote and would continue trying to get the remote. After another 2 weeks, the agents I spoke to said they were not getting a response from the parts department nor the maintenance department and offered me a cheap *** universal remote that they admittedly said would not provide all the features of the original remote. I refused their offer. The agent said that I had requested a gift card, in lieu of the remote. This was a complete fabrication, and I told the agent that I did not request anything but the remote and they should go back to their recordings, and that I would gladly give the certificate back for the remote. My final call was to speak to a supervisor, but the agent would not allow me to do that, again ***** that I accepted the certificate in lieu of the remote. They did offer to accept the return of TV, but I already have the TV mounted on the wall and all packing material is gone, plus I do not trust they will refund all if any of my money ***** ** *** **** ******* **** ******** *******. I purchased a ******* online and had it shipped to my house. I ordered it on the 5th with the estimated arrival the 8th ( which I received an email saying great news your order has shipped 🙄). Skip ahead to the 18th still no laptop and has not even been shipped out. I have called several times offered to drive an hr and a half to the nearest in stock store to pick it up they said no I asked them to cancel they said no. Now as of the 18th I have called again after being told 2 different stories in my calls. And they apparently are going to refund me. (I'm not holding my breath) so the moral of the story is don't buy from the source, horrible customer service, no accountability, and you might not get your product and they really don't care and won't refund you your money until weeks later (if they do) Also to note they apparently knew there was no laptops to be sent out and they are having "issues" with supply..... so why not refund me to begin with or better yet don't sell something you don't have 😡
