When we plugged the numbers provided during our free estimate into Efficiency ***********'s site, for an attic top up, the cost would save us $26 per year on our heating bill, and take 125 yrs 11 months to recuperate the cost. If this isn't bordering on a scam I don't know what is. The *** quote was $3,65/sq ft + tax... compared to another local (highly rated competitor) at $1,40 all in. The high pressure sales tactic is predatory. Glad we know better that to be pressured, but no doubt many will get bamboozled.Review from SGC C

******* and **** did am outstanding job upgrading my attic insulation from R28 to R60 +, also add baffles as needed. Cleaned up the job site before they left, also received pictures of the work. RPM you have two winners.****************Review from Christiane R

Apr 17-24,despite a large highly visible &descriptive do not call poster near my doorbell, RPM rep ( ? ****** * read poster & rang doorbell anyways. When asked if he can read he acknowledged. When asked why he rang despite being asked NOT TO he said fine Im leaving. He interrupted my work. No apologies. Just plain disregard &rudeness. Then went across strt & possibly took pics of my home & called someone. Im so ****** off. Ppl work nights, or work from home. Our only means to keep these pesky DTD salesmen away is to indicate clearly on our door that we do not want to be disturbed but it doesnt matter. I am not done with this matter. We had RMP in ****** ******* reinsulate our attic in our home with the blown-in cellulose installation. Two workers showed up as scheduled and were excellent in all they did. They knew the job and were careful about the actual work everywhere in our house. Everything was kept clean and they were very safe in all work performed. They removed older broken baffles and replaced with new, etc, as per the agreement.The sales **** **** was very good as well and described all the work that would be done and the estimate was in line with competitors. The whole crew was on time and explained the process throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend them for this type of work.RPM @ Home Team Response

March 11th, 2024 A very polite salesman **** came to the door & advised they were working in the area & could provide a steep discount if we had the attic insulation top up completed within the week. That seemed a little high pressure.He did not disclose they were not from the area until I requested there location. ******!***** knowledge was limited however he wanted to book a free ******************* would provide more information.We said O.K. ( I think this is how they get around the Ont. Bi-law of no door to door solicitation) by setting up an appointment we are technically inviting them into our home- caution!***** was very knowledgeable, polite & friendly. Inspection was just 15minuites.Finally the price over 4K + tax. Fortunately, armed with the BBB comments & reach out to a few other local contractors I found RPM price literally double for the exact same work.I think they would have done a find job, but doble the price. Just say NO.So seniors beware. Due diligence is really beneficial.Why so high? ************ both make steep commissions + had an all expense paid vacation by the company to Columbia last year & this year to **********. Someone has to pay for it. Why not us the consumer!As of Feb 2023 the Govt rebates are gone so local contractor try to help out. $ 1.75 to 2.00 per sqft is reasonable not $3.55!RPM @ Home Team Response

Hello ****************. Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear our team was polite and respectful. Regarding Door-to-Door. It is not against the law to offer services d-2-d, just hvac and electricity/gas related, ie. furnace, energy contracts, water filtration, etc. Our teams are trained to be polite, informative, and respectful of all. Regarding price. We do not claim to be the cheapest but we do stand behind everything we do. We are not perfect and we make mistakes but we stand behind them and fix. We have a lot of feedback from our customers all over ******* and we are proud of our reputation. We are more expensive in some cases but not all and yes we like to reward our teams for hard work. We are not alone in this, so why would this be a fault. Many companies provide perks to their staff for good work and performance, should we not consider them because that is at a cost to us? No, we should encourage because that company is doing so to encourage good work. We provide incentive to our people to promote strong work ethic and respect. If anyone was deemed to be disrespectful or rude or lie to a client or take advantage they are given the to be retrained if not they are not part of our team. I do not appreciate having a salesperson not only repeated ringing my doorbell, but pounding on my door. I was sleeping as I work midnights. I will not ever deal with anyone going door to door. If I wanted insulation in my attic I would look and research a company.i do know this I will not ever use your company.RPM @ Home Team Response

i worked for this company for 3-4 months in 2023 and had to beg to get my paychecks. they were never honest about where our money was going and when we will get paid. Al** Do*** was stealing our paychecks for himself and lying to us and the head office about where the money was going. after working Monday-Friday 8 to 5 or 6 everyday and only getting paid 2-3 times through out the duration i had to quit. i got my leads and did what was asked of me. they use workers for free advertisement.RPM @ Home Team Response

Hello ***************. Nothing could be further from the truth. We hold on to every check for reps no longer with us for up to 12 months. We pay every rep every ***** of what they are owed for the commissions they earned. I have no idea what you mean about where the money is going? If you were a lead agent and had your confirmed leads you would be paid. Simple as that. RPM just broadcast an email to 100's of their customers, ...or customer prospects, ,,,and CC'd (instead of BBB'd), ...not everyone wants there ***************, ...they claimed that their 'service provider hadn't followed instructions. And now that they've got me upset, ...I'll say that my experience with their door to door 'customer solicitation' was unprofessional (my opinion). 1. quotation provided considerably higher that an established ****** major competitor 2, their agent be-rated their competitorRPM @ Home Team Response

Dec 5th at approx 620pm... A door to door ***** came to disturb me during my kids bedtime routine ... Now to be fair he prob didn't realize this when he knocked but when i informed him I didn't want to be cold called he insisted on arguing on my doorstep on what exactly cold calling is. When I told him i wasn't interested and my kid could be heard clearly crying in the background he continued to pursue an argument ... With a potential future customer ... Is this how RPM conducts business and drums up sales... That's an F- for effort and delivery .. I have the guys info 5hat I got from a neighbour if the company cares to reprimand... Contact me .... Hello ****. At RPM we do not condone rude or aggressive behavior. We have worked very hard to build a strong reputation in our sales and our work. We conduct daily training and at no time is anyone encouraged to pressure anyone into anything. We offer a free consultation and no need for pressure. We simply look to educate and assist in informing home owners of what is available from us and the government for rebates if they qualify.
