I purchased a laptop (****) at Costco and it caused so many issues (bluescreen, boot up failure, unrecognized operating system etc) within the warranty period. This is intermittent but 100% sure to happen within a few days of normal usage. I filed a claim to concierge and the product was sent to repair center, but it was shipped back to me without any repair with the comment "there is no problem". I couldn't use this for two weeks just for this process. I am sure there is problem but they failed to duplicate the problem since it is intermittent. Since I got it back I had the same problem just within a few days. I asked Conceirge of the possibility of refund but was told that it is not possible unless the repair center admit that it is an unrepairable problem. I don't want to go through this process (sending the product and getting it back without proper repair) over and over because this is my third repetition within past 3 month and for each claim I don't have access to the product at least 2 weeks. I don't understand what is the point of warranty for the product. I have been purchasing most of my laptops from Costco mainly due to the expectation of good warranty and return policy, but now I am reluctant to getting back.Review from stella j

A senior member of Costco for 7 years writes this review with great anger and humiliation. I was treated and discriminated against in a crazy, rude way at Costco in ******** this afternoon. I will not renew my membership after it expires, and I will never step foot in this store again. Although they have many complaints, they have not dealt with it and do not care about losing a member.When I checked out this afternoon, I told the cashier ****** ** that I wanted to split the bill into two. He asked if the child next to me was a member, and I said no, he was just a student. ****** said that according to Costco policy you cannot split the bill. I told him that one of my bills was for buying things at home, and the other was for purchasing things at my company. He glared at me fiercely, and a male customer with glasses in the queue behind him also helped me tell him that he could split the bill. At the same time, the male customer told me that you can go to another counter to check out. He didn't seem right. ****** said "I'll check you out" and started scanning, and then slammed each item on the counter. When he scanned the membership card for the second time, he pointed the scanner at my face fiercely, and people around him looked at him with strange eyes. After scanning the membership card, he threw it far away. If it wasn't for the edge of the counter, the membership card would have flown farther. I angrily asked him why, but he not only ignored me and took my check without giving me change, but also started to serve the next customer. The female assistant next to him witnessed all his actions and reminded him twice to give me change, and he gave me the change reluctantly. I immediately complained to the manager, and two managers received me one after another. I asked them to check the surveillance to verify the whole process and asked ****** to apologize to me. They said that only he apologized to me, and there was no way to make the person apologize to me?Review from Dennis N

I purchased during summer of 2023 Philips 'Hearlink;' Hearing Aids. They don't work very well and very hard to use. Hearing Aids stop working many times and would have use my iphone to turn them back on. Did have one adjustment at Store (September 2023) because of high pitch noise and was not fitting well (hard to insert), however adjustments did not help.. Also they did not help with hearing when I was in a large gatherings of people. Did not use them. Went to store today to try and return them and get a refund. I was told Costco would not refund my purchase and will provide another adjustment. Very dissatisfied with them.Review from Vanessa F

Horrible ***************** I was gifted a blanket. When I took it out of its packaging there was a hole. Went to Costco to exchange it and they wouldnt give me a new one because I didnt buy the blanket. Staff were also extremely disrespectful and not understanding!!Review from David S

I went there today to purchase fuel, and as I was feeling the person behind me, put the nozzle in his tank, started it fuelling and got back in his vehicle. I shook my head because I couldnt believe how dumb someone could be to do that and when we were close to done, I looked over and saw the attendant close by and I said you know you can get a major fine form Being in your vehicle while youre feeling, and he went over and said something to the guy in the truck behind me and the guy in the truck rated me because I as he put it I should mind my own business. Apparently they have delivery options available other than *** (who regularly sign for my deliveries and leave them meters from my house next to a public street, literally on a trash can or in the snow) but you can't choose any of them. They blame this lack of shipping options on their "partner vendors" but yet happily brag about the various options on social media. I'm tired of companies like this doing less and less, treating customers like they don't matter in the name of the bottom line. Rude service people IN store, lousy delivery service. Why shop at there at ALL anymore? DO BETTER before all of your customers leave for better Costco.Review from Ni K

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at your Barrhaven store. Unfortunately, the incident has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the level of service provided.I attempted to use a Costco Digital Shop Card at the Barrhaven store. To my dismay, the card did not work, and what ensued was a series of unfortunate events that highlighted serious shortcomings in your store's operations.1. Non-functional Digital Shop Card: The Costco Digital Shop Card I possessed did not function at the Barrhaven store, rendering my attempt to make a purchase unsuccessful. This raises questions about the reliability of your digital card system.2.Employee Unawareness and Inability to Resolve Issues: Regrettably, the employees on the floor were completely unaware of how to address the situation. Their lack of knowledge and inability to resolve a seemingly straightforward issue is a clear indication of inadequate training.3. Supervisory and Managerial Incompetence: Upon escalating the matter to Supervisor ******* and her manager ******, it became evident that they were clueless about the functionality of a Costco Digital Shop Card. This lack of understanding from supervisory and managerial levels is alarming and reflects poorly on the leadership 4. Insufficient Employee Training: The incident highlights a broader concern regarding the training provided to your employees. It is evident that there is a significant gap in educating staff about the proper usage and troubleshooting of Costco Digital Shop Cards. This lack of knowledge directly impacts customer experience.5. Lack of **************** from ******* and ******: To compound the issue, both ******* and ****** demonstrated a complete lack of customer service. Hello,Myself ************************* , I would like to register a complain about your Employees *** and **** who were present at **** center (propane station) at location **********************************************. I was there around 8:15 PM yesterday Jan-8th **** to fill my gas propane tank. I buzzed the buzzer. The guy came out to fill tank told me his name as *** (not wearing name tag). He told me he will tear off all yellow sticker from my propane tank to fill gas tank which has all safety information. I asked him why he wants to rip my tanks yellow sticker. He told me its our Policy. I asked him, I get this tank filled from several other location at Costco, but no one has raised any concerns. I have all receipts with me. If this is a policy, it should be enforced at all locations. Also, I noticed, in lock up he filled up many tanks with yellow trader sticker on them. I took picture for reference. But he could not answer my question why he filled other tanks with same stickers but refusing to fill my propane tank. He asked me very rudely to leave. I asked for manager, he called a guy name **** who introduced himself as Store Manager which I dont think he was. Also, it was not mentioned on his name tag. I asked him to show me such Policy of Costco to remove yellow safety sticker from propane tank. He told me he doesnt have any written policy and he is not liable to show me any policy. I must take his words, or he will not fill propane and asked me to leave. But when I questioned him why he had filled other tanks in his own lock up and denying me, he had no answer. This answer made me feel discriminated and his behavior was racist towards me because they were not able to show me any policy and refuse me to serve but others were welcome to fill propane with same sticker on. Dear Costco Team, I am writing to express my disappointment re the customer service for my purchase online which totaled about 7K on December 29, 2023. when I put my order on December 29, 2023, I entered the wrong address, then cancelled and made another order with the correct address. Even I cancelled the order right away, only 1 item shown as cancelled, the other items on the order shows as cancel request submitted. What happened up to today, is 3 out of 5 items on the cancelled order was shipped and I have to call back multiple times to request the cancellation. Because my updated order and cancelled order (which not actually cancelled) are both reflected on my credit card, also there should be discount applied to the bundle sale, it created a loss mess for me to tie my order price to my credit card. I understood the reason now. Today on 01/05/2024, I tried to tie out the amounts charged on my credit and the order amount, and was not able to reconcile and thought that the order discount has not been reflected on my credit card. so I called and spoke to 5 people including one supervisor. the first guy is very impatient and told me the discount has been applied to each items although I told him the amount on my credit card does not tie my order. I called back again and asked the second guy to pass the call to the supervisor. The supervisor is helpful and explained to me the reason why the amount not ties. I am good with it. After the call, I noticed one item on my cancelled order was shipped on 01/03/2024, I called back again, the lady I talked to ask me to hold on phone, but the phone was hanged on after 30s. I called back again and talked to another lady. She helped to cancel the item and requested the refund. She told me I can also email rather than call every time since calls will take more time. she told me where to find the email when I asked, but her tone was full of sarcastic and made people feel very unpleasant. it did not end up a happy call
