We purchased a OX1 Hydraulic sickle mower from Oxford Machinery Inc. The website portrays a Canadian wide company with several wholesale distributors. The sickle mower is advertised with a two year warranty. After assembling the unit I discovered there were no hydraulic adapters for the hydraulic lines which is odd. I went to a hydraulic shop and was informed the hoses were old technology but he would provide adapters without any guarantees. The next issue was there was no power take off (pto) shaft provided to run the sickle mower. I have purchased five other farm implements all with pto shafts provided. Mr. ****** stated all pto shafts were standard and I could use any one of mine. None of my pto shafts would fit on the sickle mower. Mr. ****** finally agreed to provide one that would fit his product. When I tried to lower the sickle bar , a seven foot metal blade approximately two hundred pounds, with the hydraulic lift unit, there was no way to control the rate of descent. The bar drops dangerously to the ground. I purchased the hydraulic option for safety reasons and unfortunately this system is more dangerous than the manually lowered unit. When I tried cutting light grass the mower wouldn't cut properly as the clutch stays open. There is no manual or instructions on how to adjust this. I asked Mr. ****** , through email, for a resolution to these problems. I requested either a refund as we are unsatisfied with the product and haven't used it or alternatively for him to make the sickle mower function in a safe and proper manner. Since then I have not received any communication from him. No written warranties were provided upon purchase.Business response

Costumer got the machine final sale $1300 discount below the market price had 15 days policy return, after a month and a half (1.5month) customer use the machine abuse the machine hen call to say they not happy with the results,
Every single customer supporting me my reviews online proves what a wonderful service I give to everyone it's not about money it's about loyalty and way to build trust and business
Only this costumer not happy after I did everything to help also I shipped out $235 PTO shaft and PTO adapter from my pocket basically sold that machine for non-profit just to make sure the customer happy,
Month and a half later customer still not happy if it was 15 days and the Machine are new not used I would took the machine back but after 1.5month used and abused that's not fair
Thats not fair at all I went through a hell to start my own business put my self in debts on the top of that I wasn't even looking in making profit my goal to build a great relation with customers for successful business, but for 1 costumer trying to take advantage of my kindness that's not fair at all also I don't judge people we all human all have different personality I have to respect that
At that point there's not much I can do I'm really sorry

I am rejecting this response because within fifteen days of receiving the pto shaft we could not get the sickle mower to work properly. We asked for a refund or repair of the unit. The machine is not used and I can supply photos of the machine as the owner loaded it into my truck on the day of purchase. These photos can be compared to photos of the machine today to illustrate it is in the same condition. I have screen shots illustrating the date the pto shaft was sent, when it arrived and when we notified the owner the unit was not functioning within a fifteen day period. The Oxford Mills website states there is a two year warranty for these sickle mowers and a new sickle mower that does not work should fall under the umbrella of this warranty. I do not have a copy of this warranty as Mr.****** must have forgotten to provide one when the unit was picked up at his farm. Mr.******, assured us in writing that he would take the item back. If he doesn't want to refund our money,although we fall into his fifteen day return policy window, he can send a service representative out to get the sickle mower running properly.
