      What has happened to the Toronto Star? They removed unauthorized amounts from my bank account (I had agreed to a promotion that was to be paid upfront in a single payment). I caught the mistake after a month but two incorrect payments were charged to me. I paid for a new promotion and was assured that the amount for the two months that they had charged me for would be returned. I even got an email confirming this. Half of it was returned by credit card and the other was to be returned by cheque. The money by cheque never came. I called them twice and they assured me I would get it. It still didn’t come. Now, I have been told it is too late and no cheque is coming my way. I pressed them further and they agreed to give me a one month credit. This was clearly a concession but not what I had been promised. I have an email saying that the money would be refunded — none of this seems to matter to them. I am sorry about this because I would like to have continued my subscription next year and at this point the one month credit means very little to me as I now have little interest in receiving the paper.       I honestly don't even remember applying for a subscription. But let's assume that I did and that I forgot. I'm here to note that there is no clear way of cancelling a subscription online and that their customer service offices were already closed before I called at 4:30. **** ******** ** ******* ** **** ******** *** ****** ** ****** ** ****** **********

      I have had my paper not delivered on several occasions, tried to have it delivered later in day by calling star and told it would be delivered later. Never has happened!! So I pay for the paper but never get it I believe the person delivering paper does, but the paper is stolen, but can not tell witch is the case but if I don't get the paper I pay for I will quit getting paper ( hard copy ) *****

      I bought an annual subscription which does not show up in either their website or the app. I have tried contacting them through the app and emailed them but have never got a response. ** ****** ***** ***** **** ***** ******* they’ll take your money but won’t give you anything in return.

      We signed up to the toronto star in good faith. We are fairly new customers(3 months) and we have never experienced such crappy service in our lives and we are senior citizens We again have not received our paper in 3 weeks, So far in the customer service(lol) dept. we have spoke twice to patrick twice , also with katherine and again with kiran. Our driveway is 0ne kilometer long and each day for the last 3 weeks we have gone up and down it twice each day out of the 6 days involved.,That equals 20 kilometers to find NO paper. We either spend half of saturday and sunday going up and down our driveway or on the phone talking to a non existent customer service department. T*************************************************************** *************. They have no problem taking the money off our credit card, so in order to at least get our money back we still have to waste our time on the phone for that.. We are screwed no matter what we do. We asked to speak to a manager who conveniently had just gone into a meeting(BS) We signed up with them at a time when they were offering a 25 dollar ******* card. We will definately be cancelling this horrible delivery service and keeping the gift card since the toronto star are the ones that broke this contract. I find it hard to believe we can't get the paper delivered when THAT IS ALL THEY DO. Great way to treat a new customer. We are not even sure they have credited us for what we didn't receive. With a customer service department that inept I seriously doubt it.

      Home delivery is horrendously non existent and customer service does nothing .

      We appreciate the feedback. The customer service team works with the delivery force to resolve any known service problems. In general we have been having significant challenges in the labor market with shortages of delivery carriers and as a result has effected customer service with some late delivery, non-delivery or placement issues. We are working diligently to resolve and are sorry that it may be taking longer to resolve these delivery failures. We will take steps to resolve the issues identified here.
