1 year ago today I had to do a Naborly application in order to apply to a rental unit (the one I am currently in). Today, Naborly charged me another $28. I looked up terms of service and if I maybe accidentally clicked to subscribe but that never happened. I have now "unsubscribed" but I never subscribed in the first place. Nor did it say anywhere that there were automatic subscriptions. Every time I try and call the support line for Naborly it says that the extension is no longer available. They also do not reply to emails sent to them ** * **** **** ** ****** ******* ***** ****. We had a landlord ask us to use the naborly service to apply for a rental property. Told us we had to sign up for free account to get a background check to be approved... landlord ghosted us on the rental after jumping through hoops. Now I find that we have been charged a year later for this service when it was not authorized. Credit info was only given for credit check to get the unit, not to be charged a fee after the fact. I have tried calling the business and the guy who told us to use it but everything is not in service and no one is replying to my emails. I want my money back and this reported as fraud! $26.25 charged to both my partner and I without warning.Initial Complaint

I am a Landlord and utilized Naborly's Service to perform a background check on my tenants in May 2021. The tenants and myself believed that the background check was a one-time fee. In May 2022, my tenants were charged a membership fee which we never signed up for. I tried numerous times over the past 4 months to email Naborly Support to flag this issue and have the money refunded with no response whatsoever. I also called and the number on their website does not work. My tenants are furious that they are being charged for something we never agreed to pay for and no one from Naborly is responding. I created an application Naborly one year ago as it was required to rent my current unit. I had to sign up with them and provide credit card information. I was not aware that my credit card would be continually charged per year for a service I did not need. I was charged yesterday, August 7th for a renewal for a year, I have absolutely no need for this subscription. I cancelled my Naborly account and took my credit card information off their website. I have tried to call them several times and you cannot get through. I have also emailed and no response. Please help! I just paid $28 for a year subscription that I cancelled not even a day into. As I said I had no idea I would be charged this fee.Initial Complaint

In June 2021 I setup a free Naborly account for my new landlord so he could run a credit check. Once the credit check was done (within 1-2 days), I went to cancel my account so I would not be charged. At that time, you could not cancel it yourself. The company instructed you to email *******@*******.com and request to have your subscription canceled. On June 7, 2021 I sent an email to that address and asked them to cancel my subscription. I never received a reply, and forgot about it. Then on June 5, 2022 I received a receipt for Naborly that I had been charged for an annual subscription of $28.75. I immediately sent them a follow up email to their ******* address asking them to cancel my account and reimburse the charge. I have never heard back. Since then I have tried to contact the company through their *******@*******.com email (on June 8, 2022) and have tried to reach their office by the phone number listed publicly. I've received no email response to ANY email sent to *******@*******.com ever and their phone service does not actually connect to any extension. ** ***** **** * ****. Dates of attempted transactions: July 9th, 12, 13, 17th, and 24th I have paid 0 dollars but the company is attempting to charge me $28.25 and also attempting to charge my wife ******** ***** the same amount, luckily we have changed credit cards and canceled the one they have on file so it has been unsuccessful. Business commitment: We used this for our rental application at the request of our landlords. It was supposed to be free of charge because the landlords paid. This was last year. We never signed up for their service. Dispute: It's now been a year since that application and they are trying to charge us. We have tried contacting their support with no response by email and their phone is disconnected. I am worried about this affecting my and my wife's credit if they send this to small claims. To whom it may concern: I had no luck getting a reply from naborly.com. I even tried to call them over a dozen times; however, the support line does not work or exists. I can not even reset my user account password online from naborly.com I did not authorize the credit card payment of C$28.75 on July 19, 2022 and July 21, 2022. I had tried numerous times to contact naborly.com support via phone or email without any luck to cancel my membership and request a full refund. I can not even contact anyone from naborly.com via phone or email for assistance since no one is responding. Naborly.com has poor customer relations services and a lack of customer support! I have applied for one report for renting application last year 22july 2021. It was just one time payment. I didn't give permission to store my credit card as well. On 22 july 2022 they again charge money Even though I didn't take any subscription from it. We have been trying to get a background check done on a potential tenant. We applied for the service and received an email back in order to send an invite to the potential tenant. However when the tenant went to attach the required documents she had numerous technical difficulties. She tried connecting Narborly by phone and got a message the number wasn't working, she emailed and got no response. Then we emailed on her behalf 2 days ago and also got no response. We would love to understand where the issue originates from and have it resolved.Initial Complaint

I subscribed to Naborly as per the lanlord requirement. Filled everything up but was unable to upload the documents required to submit. Tried everything to upload the picture but it is not uploading. If I press continue it keeps asking to upload the picture. Spent all day trying to load it with no success. Tried using different drvices ( pc, mobile, tablet) and still not uploading Tried calling for support but the phone number on their wrbsite is not connecting. Tried to get support from website but cant load it as it is unsecure site. Now Im stuck to the last step and cant get it to submit. Im missing out to rent the property. I want a tefund and cancel the subscription
