Took my son's wrecked car to Precision Collision to have repaired due to an automobile accident. The owner inspected the car and completed his own estimate of repairs. I advised the owner that the issue that caused the wreck had was the suspension/front end. Would not let son control passenger front tire. Owner stated car could be repaired. I advised him that ***** wanted to total the car but wanted to fix it if possible. After speaking with Supervisor in ATL - they agreed on the Owners's estimate and I thought the repairs had began. The next day - the owner told me all parts had been ordered for the vehicle and had started to come in. This was not true. The office person calls on Tuesday's and Thursdays to give status updates - her first update was they had not looked at the car to see what was wrong with it but would do so within the next week. I said he told me parts had been ordered. She advised they had not. Every week it was something different. They needed something else and over inflated the price or the part had not come in. They sent an $****.00 addendum to the insurance company for parts that cost less that ***.00. Then the car finally ready. I asked to drive it before my son. The owner became upset and then drive it himself first. Called back and stated that the frame was messed up and that would be another ****.00. This was the first thing they were supposed to fix. Also his son drove the can and the hood flew up and they had to get another hood. How do I know additional damage was not obtained under there care. The car ended up being total and they still go paid $***.00 My son still has no car.Business response

This car came to our facility on 2/1/22. The vehicle stayed at our facility for 18 days with no payment from the insurance company the reason the vehicle was at our shop for that length of time was because ******* ******* ***** representative had totaled the car. **** ****** after being notified that her car was a total cursed ******* ******* out and told her she did not want her car to total. Precision Collision was contacted by ******* ******* who asked us could we repair the car for the amount of $******* we told her we would try but we could not promise that there would not be additional damage once the repairs started. Precision Collision attempted to repair her car and once repairs were almost finished precision collision took **** ****** car to get the alignment while transporting the vehicle to the Alignment shop the hood did fly up on her vehicle. Precision Collision replace the hood at no cost to **** ****** or ***** her insurance company with all due respect **** ******* is lying about Parts being ordered and our CSR telling her that Parts had not been ordered this customer is bitter because ***** representative ******* ******* told her her car was totaled and she insisted on fixing the car because she said that she did not want her son to have a car note. Precision Collision does not and cannot total cars Alabama state law total cars Precision Collision did everything in its power to help **** ****** save her car but due to the year, the mileage, and the poor condition of the vehicle ***** had no choice but to finally total the car. ***** pay the customer for their loss I do not understand why the customer is seeking ***0 from Precision Collision we did nothing wrong we are dealing with a bitter individual.PS after taking the car to the alignment shop the alignment shop called and told us that she had ****+ dollars more damage under the vehicle that is the reason ***** totaled her car.Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:These statements are untrue. I never cursed anyone out! Also the owner himself did tell me the parts had been ordered. He also told me the alignment part had already been fixed way before they started on the body work on the vehicle. The insurance company issued him a check early in the process and then stopped payment on it. The car was there way more than 18 days and was promised completion on several different occasions but it always changed each time. The owner did a full inspection of the vehicle, how was this significant damage not found. The vehicle was also driven as indicated, how was that not found. Especially when I told the owner this was an issue. The comments made by the respondent are not true at all.
Sincerely,
