I borrowed money to finance a truck from Americas First on August 19, 2024. I still have not received a title application from them for the truck that was financed. I cannot purchase a tag without a title application. I have spoken with ******* ******* concerning this. She says there is nothing they can do I will have to contact the original owner of the truck. The truck was financed by ********* originally. Ally sent them the 15 day pay-off they withdrew the money from my account along with the loan amount to pay this off. How do I get my title application? The State of Alabama only allows 20 days to get a tag it has been over a month now going on two and I will have to pay a penalty for being late. This is the worse company to get a loan thru. If you dont have an account with them, then you have no way to see what your loan account number is to pay your bill. To pay your bill you have to call in. When you call in no one answers. They call you back days later. On top of that they are making us pay for insurance stating that we do not have insurance on the truck. We have sent it in over 4 times and still they continue to charge me and additional $128 a month for insurance. I pay it because I don't want to be late. When you do finally get someone to call you back, of course they have to escalate the insurance situation and they will call you back within 3 days which never happens. While you are on the phone with them pay your bill. On top of that you have to make you payment thru a representative every month because they will not send you mail or email letting you know that your payment is due. Its the worse thing ever. I don't even know my account number because I close it after they wouldnt fix the insurance situatioin. You have to remember call in every month and wait for someone to call you back before anything get paid. This month I paid a rep and she didnt post my payment so i now have a 30 day late. That I need fixed asap. Im sure calls are recorded so pull the recording to know that she took the payment information. Then I would like you to remove the late payment from my credit report on Equifax, Experian and TransunionBusiness response

There was an issue of me trying to dispute a transaction on my account and I was told there was nothing they can do about it. I mistakenly transferred funds into the wrong account, and was told I couldnt get the money back because the transaction was already processed. I lost out on $500 and really needed the money to pay rent.Business response

My wife and I have a car loan thru this company and it has been none stop issues. 1. They previously have cancelled our auto payments and put us into collections because they change internal systems and did not sufficiently inform us. 2. The current issue is the second time we have been charged 7x the going rate of insurance through their company even though we have proved insurance to them multiple times in multiple ways. Their rate is 600$/m for their company when Gieco is 1000/6m for that car and our two other cars put together. 3. Getting in touch with them to dispute these issues is near impossible. I've twiddled my thumbs, googled and looked up this website all while waiting on hold for them. 4. Over half the employees we talk with when we finally get through are rude.5. Because we got a good interest rate when we bought and we can't refinance at this time without adding 5% to the interest rate we would rather sell the car at a loss than ever deal with this company again.Ultimately because of their shifty business practices and horrible customer service, my wife and I were pushed to making this complaint. We will likely sell our car to almost purely be done working with this company. But I can't even get in touch with anyone to get a pay off statement so I don't know how that works out.Business response

I noticed a fraudulent charge on my bank account of $10.84 for the date of November 12th, 2023. The business only said STORE. I called ******* first in December to tell them about the charge and they said they would have to order me a new debit card and close out my current one, I could not do that at the time because I ******* minutes from the nearest America first And the weather has been really bad so I cannot make it to a branch but also because if I closed out my debit card I would.not have been able to get groceries or gas for my car until my husband could make it home for the holidays. The representative assured me I could call back when I was able to close out my card. After the holidays I called back and had them issue me a new card and dispute the transaction. I got a letter in the mail yesterday stating I had the card for a while after the fraudulent transaction passed and that I was there with my card to authorize the transaction and that it is for a fast food restaurant and they also stated it was a transaction for 12/11/23 when it was for 11/12/23. I called about it today and explained that I could not close my card right away because I would be stranded without money and that the transaction for a business called STORE makes no sense because every time I make a purchase it shows me on my bank account which business I purchased it at. The lady named ***** decided to argue with me that I authorized the transaction and that it could be with ********* which is false because every time I go to any fast food it shows up on my bank account as the.business it is supposed to be. This transaction is fraudulent and I compared all my transactions to my receipts and they all match up besides this one transaction. The service I received was horrible from ***** at America First and I want my $10.84 back with the transaction disputed.Business response

We do not find an account in the consumer's name nor do we have facilities outside of the ****************. We note that this consumer lives in the western ************* where there are similarly named credit unions in **** and **********. It is likely that the complaint should have been directed to one of the other credit unions as we frequently receive misdirected letters and inquiries by consumers and credit repair agencies that are obviously intended for one of these institutions. We suggest that the consumer direct their efforts to the correct institution.Customer response

A little bit over a week ago I went to a business and paid for a couch bed and a table the guy said that he was not going to charge me a delivery fee the products was never brought to my house and when I went up there in person and asked for a refund he said I was not going to get any money back from him I made a complaint with my bank and tell them what happened the guy from Consignment World told them that I simply did not pay a delivery fee which is not true he still refuses to give me my money and they still refuse to reverse the transactions that was done on my accountBusiness response

My car was reprocessed by the bank without my knowledge upfront. I saw the letter a couple of days after my car was reprocessed. There was a lot of miscommunications on both ends in regards of myself and the bank. The bank agreed that the reason my car was reprocessed was because of miscommunications not because of any missed payments but because of miscommunications. I have been denied by several banks, have missed multiple days of work, and my credit score has dropped tremendously. I am 22 years old working full time, about to start college soon, just a young man trying to make a living for myself. All I want currently is to get that reprocession removed from my credit, however the bank is refusing to do so. I have tried to call but again I cannot get in touch with anyone.Business response

I had gap insurance with them, when I got in my wreck my car was totaled out. There was $13,465.97 left on my loan to pay. My primary insurance paid $11,332.94 towards that and I was told the gap should take care of the $2,175.63 left to pay. Americas first took my refund check for the extended warranty I paid for and paid off the loan and never used the *** insurance at all. When I asked if I would get a refund for the *** insurance that I paid for I was told no. I was never told that the warranty would be used for any part of the loan payoff.Business response

Ive filed for an auto loan with Americas first. Unfortuantley, *********************** has dropped the ball numerous times either by no response or the emails going to my spam. The last email requested another loan pay off letter which I had faxed, and I had no response for over a week from her. She is very poor at following up. I requested a different agent or supervisor, I havent heard from them. Very poor business and the worst loan process Ive ever experienced.Business response

I last used the account March of 2021 after I deposited money into the account so it would not be overdrawn . I told the lady I spoke with that I wanted to close my account, she verified it would be . After over 1 year later I got 2 letters stating I was overdrawn , no way if my account was closed. I went into my branch to learn that indeed my account was not closed and my covid stimulus check was deposited in it and I was under the influence I would receive a paper check from its. There was ******** deposited I had no clue and now I'm being told that the transactions from March 2021 till Aug 2022 that I have no idea who or what they are or were for or who to , they can only get ****** back and they did not even try to refund me for over 1 yr of service fees and I didn't use them ... I had no idea my account was open due to the lady telling me she closed it ... I would like to get my money back in the account , for them to make right on their employer lying to me ..Business response
