I purchased a 2023 Club Car Onward golf cart from Diamond Golf Cart's ****** store on 11/21/23 as a Christmas gift. After the various fees, and taxes the price totaled $17776.89. I provided a $10k downpayment, and financed $7901.89 through Diamond's lender ******************** The golf cart was stored in my garage and not driven. The selected Club Car was not a good fit and I contacted the sales rep to initiate its return on 12/21/23. ******* stated he would have to check with Club Car regarding the registration and warranty to see if the cart could be returned. Diamond picked up the golf cart on 1/5/24. I received a text from Diamond stating I would need to pay the loan off and send them my account number to confirm payoff as part of their restocking process. I contacted ******************* and they informed me that it was Diamond Golf Carts responsibility to payoff the loan since the customer had returned the product. I contacted Diamond and asked to speak with the manager, *****************************. He stated that he instructed the sales rep to have me pay off the loan because that would be the easiest way to handle the refund. I asked him "How...you have the golfcart available to sale, my $10k deposit, and you want me to pay the $7760 balance of the loan? On 1/11/24 ***************************** agreed to payoff the ******************* loan $7760.79, and provide a refund to me for $8983.51. He stated he could not refund the sales tax and other non refundable charges. After agreeing to these terms, I received an email on 1/13/24 from ***************************** stating that after looking at cash flow he would have to handle this as a consignment resale and I should continue to make payments to ******************* until the cart sells.This company has vacillated so much in it's business dealing and it seems that they don't have the money to cover their debts. Diamond Golf Carts needs to make this right post haste. Honor your agreement.Business response

We regret that **************** is unhappy with our handling of this matter. She bought the vehicle as a gift and there was nothing wrong mechanically with the golf car. After having it for nearly three weeks, she gave it to her mother who did not like the gift. **************** then contacted ** to ask about returning it. We informed her that given there was no issues mechanically with the car the car simply returning it may not be possible. Our hope was to be able to unwind the sale but we ended up having to offer to take it on consignment and attempt to resell the car. At that point, we will gladly refund her purchase price. We met in person with her and she was agreeable to this resolution.
