Im looking at all of Myerss reviews and Im literally shocked. Im an *** customer and I absolutely love ********************* ************* I left *** and went with another warranty company and they had a different company they sent out and they were horrible and if I had given them a review,it would mirror some of these reviews.I return to AHS and Myerss became my service company again. Ive always received wonderful service and never a bad complaint about and work preform on my unit. I pretty much received excellent customer service and from some of the same technicians over a 10yr plus span. I just had a service call on my 22+yr old unit that Myerss has serviced 10+yrs of these yrs on 9/8/2024 and as always they provided prompt, knowledgeable and courteous( THANKS AGAIN *****) service. My technicians remembered me,as I him from servicing my unit and I also remembered my only other technician that was also great. Im not sure what happened with this other reviews but I would revisit this company for your ************ needs absolutely a satisfied customer. Thanks *****Review from Meredith H

This company was referred to me by American Home Shield on the 2nd of August 2023. They came out 5 times and still never fixed the problem. On 3rd time out it was supposed to be fixed and it went out the next day. The 5th time it was fixed then went out again. During this whole process 5 different technicians came out. They only could come out on a Tuesday or Thursday. I called the company that installed my ac system and upon diagnosis found one of Myers technicians bent the coils that holds the freon which caused the system to leak. I called and talked to *** and ***** of Myers and had the company that put the ac system in explain to them what happened. They acknowledged that they had unexperienced technicians and they needed that information for a teachable moment. They offered to come and come back out which would have been Tuesday 4 days from now but because of waiting almost a month for it to be fixed I have lost all confidence in this company. If you know you are working with American Home Shield why send inexperienced technicians out on a job. Because of this I had to pay $1050 out of pocket. I asked if there was gonna be any reimbursement they said no and to get with American Home Shield. I don't put all of this on Myers but they have majority of the blame along with American Home Shield but some reimbursement should be given due to one of Myers Technicians making it worse. You sending out your best after the fact is unacceptable. Your best should always go out to a job so these type of things don't happen. My trust and faith with your company to complete a job is lost. I am a 20 year Army veteran and this is how I'm treated.Review from Greggory G

DO NOT USE THESE "SPECIALISTS" Very inconsiderate business and business practices. I bought an AC/Heater in November 2022. This past Friday (14 JULY 2023), it stopped cooling! Saturday (15 July 2023) I contact Myers Comfort Specialists and discuss with them the problem. I am informed that a technician will be out the same day between 12:00pm-4:00pm CST. I accepted and thanked the person on the phone. Approximately 2:00-2:30pm I receive a call informing me that the technician that was supposed to be coming was involved in an accident, and unfortunately they didn't have anyone else available to send out in his stead. As a result, someone would be dispatched on Sunday (16 July 2023). Sunday someone comes out. He diagnosis my system and come to find out the coil in my attic system busted. So a whole new coil has to be ordered. It is covered under my 10 years parts and labor, so nothing out of my pocket. He wasn't sure when they would receive the coil because it is one that they do not normally stock. Luckily, it comes in by Monday, but couldn't be scheduled to be installed until today (Wednesday 19 JULY 2023) The technician reports to my house to install the coil, but is unable to because the attic access has to be taken down and the coil lifted into the attic. He is not equipped to do this work, nor is he capable of doing this work as he has 0 ********* experience. Now I am being told that the coil will have to remain at my house, or I will have to pay for them to take it back to their shop and possibly pay for someone to come out and do the install. If parts and labor was included in my contract for 10 years!!!, then why am I possibly incurring additional costs, and why is my AC still NOT FIXED!!! I've spent $1,000 out of pocket for portable ACs to knock down the heat a little bit. I have young grandkids that CANNOT be in this HEAT!!!Myers Comfort Specialists Response

It is very unfortunate that the evaporator coil cracked and was leaking freon and it was just installed in November of 2022. This is not something that happens often at all. It is also unfortunate that the technician was in a MVA and we had no one else to send. What is fortunate is that we were able to get the coil pretty quickly then the amount of time it has been taking to get parts. We agree there was a miscommunication with the technician that diagnosed the coil and the installer. The access to the attic should have been measured and we should have known there was an issue with entrance to the attic and it needed to come down. 2 things: Had we known about the access issue the coil would gave been installed in a timely manner and we would have gotten one of our installers that had carpentry experience from the beginning..
I believe the customer is talking about the old coil would need to remain at the house in the attic until the access was removed and we could get the coil out of the attic when we came to install the new one. We do not require our technicians to have carpentry experience. There would have been no cost to the customer if we were able to get the old coil out of the attic and take it back to the shop. We are not aware of any additional cost or customer having to get someone else to install the coil. We deeply hate the customer had a bad experience.

My only regret is that Zero stars isn't an option. This was their findings to the tune of $5300 for a job I had done the next day for under $300 in half hour! This is their 100% Fiction findings and i learned too late that This far from the first time they tried to get away with stuff like this.1. Install Clean Out Failure Reason: No Clean Out Contractor Note: TRIED TO GO THROUGH P TRAP BUT COULDNT GET STOPPAGE CLEARED WILL IN ORDER TO FIX ISSUE WE WILL HAVE TO INSTALL A CLEAN OUT UNDER KITCHEN SINK $800.00 2. Replace Pipe Failure Reason: Soil Movement Contractor Note: LATERAL LINE IS BROKE DOWN UNDER SLAB DUE TO SOIL MOVEMENT WE PULLED BACK *********** WILL NEED TO BE DUG UP AND REPAIRED TO FIX ISSUE. $4500.00Myers Comfort Specialists Response

First I would like to apologize for this happening. I have looked into this matter and I do see where it does look like the technician may have mis-diagnosed the issue. Although, I have seen many times where one rod might not go through the drain to clear the stoppage but another technician can get the rod down and clear stoppage. Hopefully clearing the stoppage will be the fix and no issues with the line. Only way to be 100% in my opinion is to run a camera down the line if this happens again. I will be contacting the customer soon to reimburse the money the other company charge to clear stoppage. I am sorry for the misdiagnoses . Unfortunately that does happen from time to time and we want you to know we recognize the mistake and want to make it right.Review from Natasha L

TERRIBLE, I wish I could left a zero. They are sellers, please do not accept them to come to your for repairs, if they are sent by AMERICAN HOMESHIELD. THE technician was good but when he turned in his report, it was doctored by time *** received it. *** (Myers) told me that my unit failure is "probably pre existing) after her trained technician didnt indicate that anywhere on the work order, which we have a copy of. We have spoken to more than 5 technicians and they all said "there is no way to indicate pre existing on what they were called out for). Now *** AND ***(AHS) are trying to say it's because of when the contract was taken out. If that's the case why send anyone out. Ohhhh ,so you canget the service fee and the 2nd opinion one too!!! We are definitely seeking legal actions against all parties involved. PLEASE PEOPLE AND ESPECIALLY ELDERS, BEWARE OF THEM. THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND WANT TO SELL YOU THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, AND GET YOURS SERVICES DENIED FROM YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANIES!!!Myers Comfort Specialists Response

This customer does not have her facts correct and was not knowledgeable of what her policy with American Home Shield states. We went to the customers home on Monday 3/27/2023 and found that the a/c system she has is a **** unit and the compressor has shorted out and not repairable. Yes I, *** did tell her that the compressor had shorted out and was bad, and was "Probably" pre-existing. Which was not the correct term to use. American Home Shield denied covering us to replace the compressor due to the customers purchased the policy with American Home Shield on Thursday 3/23/2023 and turned around the next day (Friday 3/24/2023) and placed a work order with American Home Shield. Unfortunately her policy with American Home Shield has a *************************************************************************** the work order with them for pre-existing.
The diagnoses was not doctored up. This is the policy that American Home Shield has. We have run across this same type of problem with customers not reading the fine line of their policy with their home warranty company.

If you have a home warranty service and they send Myers, reject and ask for a different company. The owner over exaggerated our issue with AHS in his authorization request after inspection. He then either chose not to get complete information from his tech or explicitly miscommunicated compared to what his tech stated on site to me. We have a vent pipe that was installed with a framing nail in it. The techs (two) on site discovered and confirmed this observation. Stating that pipe installation happened after framing. No additional framing nor sheet rock or remodeling as taken place in the location of the nail, and as his tech said, they new they put a nail in it when they installed the pipe. The owner openly acknowledges that framing of a house happens before plumbing installation, especially in the attic, yet states he cannot speak to if pipes were properly or improperly installed. In short, Myers can not speak on if installations were correct/ incorrect if owner was not there personally at time of installation. So any claim for incorrect installation will not come from Myers as they just want the $$ from AHS, and the referral, to then ask you for more $$ to do the work that they will ensure your home warranty would reject. They are not a reputable company based my dealings with the person who said he was the owner and are not reasonably priced with more qualified companys. He personally attacked me by continuously stating I was asking him to lie. No one was asking for a lie, just an honest representation of the situation with our home warranty company. The owner lied when he told the warranty company that at least 10 framing nails were nailed into the 4ft section of pipe. It was one. Surely a mistake when installed, thus improper. Outside of the $100 paid for this experiencethe fix they aided in getting denied cost 30 minutes, a trip to Lowes and less than $20. For them to come back out after ensuring they received AHS money and a referral $335.Myers Comfort Specialists Response

Unfortunately this customer has a home warranty company and we are contracted with the warranty company and we were sent out to diagnose. We found a nail in a PVC vent pipe and was causing the pipe to leak. When we submitted the diagnoses to their warranty company they denied the repair because the warranty company does not cover anything that is not normal wear and tear. We had nothing to do with the framing of the house or how the nail got in the pipe. We will glad to repair the pipe but we are being told by the warranty company that they will not cover repair. This appears to be a complaint against the warranty company.Myers Comfort Specialists Response

My home warranty company AHS uses Myers as one of their contractors, on Oct.27, 2022 I started a service request with AHS and the next day thad from Myers comes to do his diagnostic and he confirms what i already know, I had my own personal Contractor come out and do a diag. as well. So Thad confirms that my compressor is weak (pretty much Shot) from running on vapors of freon from a leak in the coil. My system is a 31 year old carrier system that uses R22. So upon departure Thad tells me he is going to submit his findings and however he assures me that with past experiences with AHS they will tell him to weld the coil leak and replace the freon that they only cover 10.00 dollars a pound so i would be left with a ******* bill for a bandaid fix, That thad said he could not guarantee the fix would last 6 months or a year and that it would be best to replace the unit. I agreed but he never gave me the inclination that would be what he would file to AHS, so i mentioned that my private contractor gave me an estimate on a new 2 ton carrier unit and Thad said they could not touch that price and asked if i wanted him to submit the work order to bandaid the system, i denied my wife is pregnant with our first born so that's not an option. Fast forward to AHS sent out another contractor and confirmed more of the same and i had to badly review that company as well. Nov 28th AHS request a second opinion and decides to assign Myers once again, Chloe calls to set the appointment and i ask her to hold off and let me call the warranty company because i have no idea what is going on. I call her back and she has cancelled the request and can not open it, i explain my situation and Chloe states the following to me that their contract for AHS is to cover the most least expensive repair possible and will not replace a unit and has not during her 8 month tenure at Myers. She then tells the warranty company i cancelled the service request which is a ***. Do yourself a favor steer clear!Review from Carole L

Myers Comfort Specialists is a contractor for American Home Shield Home Insurance. As such, they were dispatched to my home to repair my AC/Heating unit. They told me the unit is obsolete and needs to be replaced because parts are no longer available. They then quoted me a price to replace the unit bypassing my insurance. Which I declined because I pay for insurance to fix or replace my appliances. They came back and took photos and said we need an inspection of the venting system before they could do the work. The city said they don't do that and suggested gas fitters should inspect the system. The gas company sent men out to inspect and they said there's no problem. Then Myers changed their stance and now refused to do the work claiming it is unsafe for their techs. It is my belief that they wouldn't be compensated as much by American Home Shield as they would if I paid for it outright. It would be safe enough if I agreed to pay them approximately $********. I think American Home Shield should drop them as a contractor. And other consumers should be aware of their shoddy practices.
