My house was struck by lightning and I had Mister Sparky come out after finding them on google and being impressed with their reviews & the fact that they are nationwide. They came out (on 1/5/2022) and charged me $1,222 just to do the diagnostic - which I paid. After spending 5 hours at my house, they diagnosed my house with needing a total re-wire for $50,000. My homeowners insurance company was NOT going for it and spent a MONTH going back and forth with Mister Sparky's electrician while my family of 4 (with me also being 9 months pregnant) stayed in a hotel as they deemed our house uninhabitable. Finally after I begged my insurance company to send another electrician out to do a comparative quote so we could get our home fixed and move back in with our now NEWBORN BABY, they did. They sent an electrician also from Birmingham out and within literally 30 minutes, he had the ONE wire that was fried isolated, literally only affecting TWO OUTLETS, & determined the issue was simply blown LED lightbulbs in every other room!!!! My attic fan motor was struck & blown which needed replacing. That's it! The new electrician had everything fixed in less than two hours with my entire house operable for PENNIES compared to the Mister Sparky quote. I'm not sure if their electrician truly couldn't figure out the problem, or if they were trying to rip off my insurance company, but I would not recommend them as their misdiagnosis caused my family a MONTH of turmoil and NOW my insurance company is refusing to reimburse me the $1,222 I already came out of pocket for Mister Sparky's diagnosis as they were SO WRONG. I've called repeatedly trying to get my money back as they claim to have a satisfaction guarantee but I can't even get a call back.Business response
