I was told to expect something in the mail to cancel my membership and haven't received anything and continue to be charged. I can't get a response from anyone at the location. They think I'm being difficult; I think I'm well within my rights to not pay for a gym I won't use due to sanitation and privacy issues. My contact is open-ended and tied to my bank account. I was told if I changed my bank account, I would be sent to collections for non-payment.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/01) */ Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We would be happy to help. All cancellations are handled in club, our office hours are Monday through Friday 10:30 - 6:30 pm. We do not have a member by this name, but she may be listed under something different. To set up a meeting with our GM, please contact our office via email **************@anytimefitness.com or call X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Why are they acting like they don't know who I am? This is exactly why I'm reporting. Things are weird. I've already spoken to 3 people about this issue, this is the first I've seen of that email address, but have spoken with the GM directly several times and am still waiting to receive my contact and something sign to cancel by mail as I was assured I would. Please help! Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/03/30) */ We have processed her cancellation. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2022/03/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) So am I going to be refunded? Been trying to get this done since January 1st, which Is when ***** told me my contract was up. Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2022/04/19) */ Our company processes the cancellation once we receive a signed cancellation form. We did so in the timely manner once received. It has been canceled. All terms go open ended and are subject to a 30 day cancellation process, once we received the form signed. We waived that for her and processed an immediate cancellation. Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2022/04/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) So the email about this situation being handled unprofessonally and not in a timely manner was just to save face. I'm supposed to accept an ingenuine apology and be content with having my membership cancelled with no refund for the months I was given the run-around. I guess I'll have to take what I can get, no matter how messed up it is. Thanks y'all. Its been weird but whatever.
