My wife and I have been trying for a year to make headway with New Vintage Trailers, in partnership with Studio Iron, LLC, on our vintage Airstream 5th-wheel RV. The owner, *********************************, has repeatedly refused to provide documentation of progress or receipts for expenditures. The documentation he has provided has repeatedly proven to be inaccurate at best. He has been verbally abusive on the phone with my wife, berating her for asking about progress and how our money is being spent. He flat out told her, "you can't keep calling me every two weeks and expect me to tell you what's going on!" He has been unprofessional at best and perhaps fraudulent. We were trying to tow our Airstream from his lot (with his consent and on the advice of our legal counsel) to formally discontinue his services and check the state of the work against what little we have documented. (Unfortunately, this resulted in the incident with ************************ that begat my other complaint!) In any case, we are currently seeking a refund of at least $6,734 for unspent and/or unaccounted expenses, possibly much higher depending on the state of the *** as well as considering legal options with our attorney. A sincere apology for his abusive and demeaning behaviour would not go amiss though no breath is being held. We are NOT expecting him to finish the job and will be looking for other service, elsewhere.
