This apartment complex and its management is the worst I have ever experienced. The complete lack of follow up from anyone (***********************) regarding any of my issues experienced in my two years living here is remarkable. The most recent experience sent me over the edge. I am trying to move out (currently April and my lease is over July) and they require a 2 months notice plus a buy out fee of almost $4,000. Ouch! I have a coworker that wants to sign herself on to my lease because housing is very hard to find in *********. I want to help her and she is willing to pay whatever it takes to have my unit. When I called *****, she stated she had never encountered a situation where a roomate wanted to extend a lease and if they wanted to do this she would have to pay duplicate application fees, undergo duplicate background/credit checks, move out for inspection period, reapply for housing, be subject to whatever the current market rate is for units, and she couldnt even be guaranteed the same unit! I have a hard time believing our complex never encountered a situation where a roomate wants to extend a lease. I am absolutely being discriminated against. I can verify discrimination because not long after this conversation, I received a call from ****** stating a neighbor complained my service dog barks right when I leave the house. Before I could even say a word, she became upset and claimed I never listed I had a dog in my unit and how I was violating community policy. I followed all the rules! Before I even got the service dog, I gave notice, a letter from my provider, provided updated vaccines, and a picture of my dog. When me and my service dog were bit on 2 separate occasions by another loose dog in my complex, ****** provided me NOTHING. I knew exactly which unit and which resident that dog was from. ****** only told me some residents do not list animals on their lease. She offered 0 assistance or calls. I called animal control and filed a police report myself
