Date of transaction: 11/05/2021 The Plateau- Option B: Rio de Flag Tent- Up to 250 guests Amount paid in full on 11/05/2021: $5,744.54 *We did not need the ****** House for Rehearsal hence the change in price. For our wedding we had communication with the Special Events Manager about all the details, including the contract and what all comes with our purchase. My husband **** and I, were promised a tent canopy, flooring and lighting from the beginning of our first visit. Just 2 months before our wedding she stated due to budgeting issues we can no longer have the tent, flooring, and lighting. She did not tell us at any point we would not have the tent, flooring and lighting. We specifically chose the venue for the tent because we knew rain was going to be an issue. In an email she stated, "I apologize that I failed to inform you in our earlier conversations that the tent canopy, flooring, and lighting would not be part of the package deal for 2022. I got confirmation about this back in January, but after reviewing all of our communications it looks like I must have assumed I told you both and in actuality did not." She did not tell us and should have honored the contact and what was agreed upon. They gave us only $200 in return and the tent cost ~$2,700 from their rental place and was to be included in our venue option "Rio de Flag TENT" purchase. Since rain was an issue, we had to purchase, set-up, clean, and transport a tent for the day of the wedding. For the reception they also moved our party into a small room which was also $500 less than what we paid for. They did not provide lighting, a tent, and flooring, and moved us into a smaller room, which was agreed upon and paid for in 2021. They also took advantage of our guests. Instead of doing the cash bar at the end when our purchased alcohol ran out, they chose to charge our wedding guests $5 per glass, while we still had plenty of of alcohol left over. We are requesting a refund for the tent.
