    AVOID!! They don't stand behind the merchandize. I tried to deal w/them to rectify an inferior umbrella I purchased last year for $200. ONE YEAR! The crank mechanism failed after minimal use and their position is it's past 90 days. I am now stuck w/an unusable umbrella and lost $200. When the crank failed last week (it wdn't raise or lower), I contacted ShadeUSA. ***** a co-owner, responded: 'We are far outside of the 90-day reporting period for any sort of manufacturing issues. There may be something you can try: Your can remove the crank housing cover to expose a retaining nut opposite of the crank handle. Loosing this nut a bit might help."I responded asking for a video or more detailed instructions. Haven't heard back. This company is ghosting me & washing their hands of any remediation for the dysfunctional frames they are selling. It's a little late for me b/c I looked at reviews for this company tht were NOT on their website and was shocked at the overwhelming volume of complaints by frustrated & unhappy customers dealing w/ShadeUSA. It should more appropriately be named ShadyUSA.******** is a waste of time to think they will give you any satisfaction. They have no integrity. They want your money, send you products that have an unreasonable history of unhappy customers who are stuck with inferior products by these disreputable owners. *********** husband have full knowledge that their shoddy products fail in high numbers despite their premium prices. Big profits & cheap Chinese merchandize. It would be beneficial for everyone to simply make things "right" for their customers. These people are in ************** stand behind their products but do not. I don't know about you, but that is a LOT to spend on something that lasted only ONE YEAR. Do yourself a favor and do not look at the reviews on their website. Ck the reviews outside their website such as ************* see this are basically a con operation.

    The customer waited nearly a year to report that she could not operate the crank on her umbrella. Her issue was readily identified as being over-cranked. We advised the customer that the remedy was a simple ********* fix by backing out 2 screws and then a nut. She decided to spend 10x that amount of time going on an internet rant. As she points out, we have accumulated thousands of 5-star reviews over the 30 years we have been in business. We do our best to assist customers even when they're far outside the industry standard warranty period, as was the situation here. Trust me, after spending a considerable amount of time with this customer, I have no doubt she will have the last word.

    Very interesting. Took them 4 months to respond to this BBB complaint. My main problem with this unscrupulous company is that they do NOT ALLOW any unsatisfactory reviews on their site, so yeah, they show a lot of 5 stars b/c they do not allow any negatives. I tried and tried to deal with them, I asked for a video to repair, I asked for written instructions, I got nothing more than the "simple screws" ... No, it was not that simple at all and they ghosted me. After getting totally frustrated with their lack of help or communication, I posted my review with the BBB. They are disreputable. My negative review SHOULD BE POSTED on their site so someone else will not have to lose money and deal with their shoddy practice. And, no, they did not spend a considerable amount of time. Ha. I'm the one who spent the time dealing with these people. They are cons and do not stand behind their products (from ***** btw).
