My husband and I entered into verbal contract with ***** ******* the owner of Descendants Lanscaping on 9/8/24 for our backyard to be have pavers, turf installed, irrigation added along with full renovation of our already dirt backyard. We paid ******* ****** via check 6500 on 9/6/24, and 1000 payment via Zelle same day (9/6/24) due to max amount to send, then another Zelle payment of 1000 on 9/8/24 as ***** text my husband stating he need to pay the workers for their completion of our pavers. Total amount = 8500. We paid Descendants off in full with a final payment of 8000 on 9/20/24. The full amount for our project was $17,500. The only time workers came to our home was the first couple of days, a load of sand, pavers and rock were delivered in front of our home. The pavers were completed first, then each day we never communicated what or who will be coming to work on our yard. My husband and I have had many text, calls to Mr. ***** ******* and each time he has an excuse as to why no workers had come that do or promised someone would be out the next morning. We are nearing 6 weeks of this project still yet to be completed. The turf was installed as well as border pavers 3ft from our walls on east/west side of our yard but have been leaft with dirt and tubing for irrigation but no connection. My. ***** had his team build a retaining wall at the back of our yard and it too had low voltage lights added to the ground just facing up on the back wall. This area too is only dirt and left undone. My husband and I have called, text and left messages for Mr. ******* asking when can we expect these leftover tasks to be completed and we have had no response from him since 10/18/24. My final text to Mr. ***** was on 10/18 with a list of items still needing completion in our yard. We just want our yard completed without all the additional stress of begging for work we already paid in full.
