      After 10 plus years at this location with excellent service, management changed. Had requested a oil change and road trip ready service. "Recommended" maintenance included new battery (tested next day at *** at 97%) oil pan replacement, brakes and filters (air and cabin).Agreed to filters if on site. After reminding them brakes were replaced here last spring, checked again and they were "fine". During road trip had to have 6lbs air put in each tire. Oil changed required light came on. Oil was full and to have sensor reset. Filters were not on site and after 2 hrs, they let me go home because it was "taking too long" to get the filters delivered. Did not apply my coupon and after 2 hours and $79 for an oil change I was out... for the last time. Never going back.

      On 2/23/2024, we took our 2018 ****** Rav 4 for rear brakes and an oil change. The total bill was $607.04.The oil change was $59.99. Upon completion of work when my wife was given the bill, she was shocked! She told them ****** had quoted $301.00 after taxes. Your employee stated that Sun Devil was definitely less expensive than the dealer.About two months later we took our vehicle to the ****** dealership for an oil change and complained about the brakes squeaking. We were told that the shim kit was missing. We called your location back and told them about the problem.We were told that we would have to leave the vehicle all day to have that installed.After waiting 6 1/2 hours the first time and paying over $600.00, we shouldn't have to wait all day.Also, in closing, my wife inquired about a military discount. We were told that Sun Devil doesn't offer a military discount.I expect some action to be taken, otherwise, I will notify the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and any other media applicable.

      My mother, ***********************, took her vehicle to Sun Devil Auto Main St. on 3/30/24 to be serviced for a squealing noise upon engine startup. When we arrived, we met up with **** at the counter. My mother explained to him about the squealing noise upon startup from her 2011 Kia ***** **** then gave the diagnosis that it was fluid leaking on one of the belts - before bringing it into the garage to run diagnostics. **** explained to my mother that running a diagnostic could be a couple of hours since other vehicles were already in the garage being serviced. And after she agreed to leave it there at the garage [without signing a work order], **** assured us he'd have the car looked at. It was a little after 10 AM when Lyft came and got us to take us back home. Hours passed and still not a word from the garage about her car. And after several calls concerning her car with every explanation as to why **** didn't seem to know what was going on with her car, a noticeably agitaged **** finally agreed to her coming down to see about her car. Upon our arrival a bit after 3 PM, the car didn't seem to have been moved at all and we noticed the garage was closing for the day [the garage wasn't scheduled to close until 5 PM on Saturdays as advertised]. We went to the counter and noticed **** was no longer there. An older gentleman was there when he told us both that the garage didn't diagnose the car yet. I also noticed a service animal inside the lobby without a dog vest on indicating service animal. So, I walked out to the car as my mother was inside, and noticed the car had been sitting out apparently since we left it there at 10 AM that morning. That the interior compartment was hot, as were the seats. So my mother comes outside and I tell her about this. We decide to take it across the street to AutoZone. The techs there diagnosed the problem as either the starter or a loose belt - within two minutes.

      I took my Cadillac Escalade to have my a/c worked on and asked them to check a oil leak. They changed the oil gasket and did an oil change. After driving my Cadillac a few days, oil had leaked out almost completely. I showed them a picture of the leak and they ended up adding another gasket. The leak continued and it once again leaked out quite a bit. My husband was good to change out the oil pan but before he could, he shined a light underneath the vehicle he saw the leakage that was coming out from the oil filter. He went to touch the oils filter and it was completely loose. The mechanic from Sun Devil did not tighten up the oil filter. We are now having to pay $1800 for a horrible job. The manager has no customer ********************** and those mechanics dont know what they are doing. Be warned!!! I beg that no one take their vehicle there!!!

      Changed the oil in my vehicle and spilled new oil on the engine cover, front of the engine and on the frame. I was suspicious when the manager said they were washing the frame before returning the car to me. They recommended a repair which I declined and went to another shop for a second opinion, who found oil all over the engine and cleaned up at no charge.The Sun Devil (*************, **) manager also told that the brake fluid in my vehicle was "dark" and needed to be exchanged. I have worked on cars and raced cars for almost 60 years and never changed brake fluid except for a fluid leak occurring or water getting into the braking system of a car. Dealer maintenance in most cases does not list brake fluid exchange as a necessary maintenance event.I spent an hour in the waiting room of this business and watched the manager recommend to no less than 3 customers that they have a brake fluid exchange preformed, without asking if it had been done before or if there were any braking issues. This is a TOTALLY UNNECESSARY service in most cars. When I asked him why he did that to so many customers he responded it was "preventative maintenance" because brake fluid is "water based". This is a lie because brake fluid is designed to absorb any water entering the system.When I wrote a complaint to Sun Devil and the manager called me a few days later and was indignant that I did not just bring the car back to have the oil spill cleaned up the oil. He said that I everyone has a bad day sometimes, which I conceded. No apology for the inconvenience. He chastised me angrily said that I "should have handled it differently". I guess he did not like being reported on. Terrible customer **********************!!!I will never take my cars to this shop again and I recommend against anyone using them.

      I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have had to use the parts warranty of things I have gotten replaced with sun devil more times than anyone should in just a matter of 8 months of getting them replaced. At this point, just about everything that seems to be going out on my car are things I have had paid to have replaced with them. I am then forced to have to go back to them to refix the problem under the warranty of the parts. Previously I took the vehicle in to get something in my fuel pump looked at and while in their possession broke a piece off which made my check engine light come on, they called an admitted they broke the piece, I asked them if they panned on fixing the part they broke at no cost because I did not drop the car off with a check engine light on and I had emissions a month later. They fought me on it and said even though they broke it, they believe I should still pay for the labor to replace the broken piece because they have to take time out of their day to do it. This place is extremely unprofessional. Just recently I had to have my CV axle replaced again after getting it done with them 8 months ago. Immediately after picking up the vehicle I started to feel a aggressive shake while driving, so of course I brought the vehicle back to them with this concern because this would not be the first time they gave me my vehicle in worse condition then how I brought it in and I told them it started happening immediately upon picking it up from them and I would appreciate if they could look over their work and see if something went wrong.

      We used Sun Devil Auto ONE TIME, and now they constantly ******* us with mailings. We have spoken to 9 different people over the past 10 months who all promise to remove us from the mailing list, but the next month we get yet more mail. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU RESPOND YOUR PRIVACY - THEY ARE EITHER SELLING IT TO THIRD PARTIES WITHOUT PERMISSION, or they will simply refuse to remove you from their mailing list even after telling you they will.

      In February of 2023, I took my GMC Yukon to Sun Devil Auto in ********** because I was hearing a ticking noise when I would first start the vehicle in the morning. They determined that I needed over $5000 worth of repairs to fix the vehicle. I told them to go ahead with the repair. About a week later they called and told me that they had to do another $2700 worth of repairs to complete the job. Being this far into it, I felt I didn't have a choice but to approve this as well. It took them about 2 weeks to fix the vehicle and I also had to rent a car for this time. The shop manager said they had to rebuild the entire engine and it will be good for many years to come. About 2 days later the check engine light came on and the engine started running rough. Now they determined that another $700 worth of repairs was needed. After picking up the vehicle, I was hoping that this would be the last time I needed any engine repairs for a long time. I thought wrong. I drove my vehicle back to *********** and immediately started seeing a bunch of oil in my garage and driveway. My son owns an auto repair shop so I took it to him to see what was wrong. Both the top and bottom oil pans were leaking. He and his service manager contacted Sun Devil auto and they said to call the warranty company. Sun Devils warranty company said that the repairs are not covered by the warranty and that the vehicle needed to go back to the repair facility. That is **** miles away! Sun Devil made absolutely no effort to make this right and the manager pretty much quit returning any phone calls for weeks. Finally the district manager for Sun Devil was contacted and after a few days he agreed to pay for the repair of $1,345.01. This process took almost 6 weeks. Then it took another month to get the reimbursement check and they short paid the invoice by $245.01! Multiple emails by my son and his manager asking for an explanation went unanswered. Very disappointing experience.
