I purchased my ************** June 2023, and by the spring of 24, I observed considerable wear on the tires. Concerned about the safety and durability, I contacted Yokohama. To my dismay, I was informed that the tires were not covered under a mileage warranty because they were classified as "original equipment." This distinction was not made clear to me at the time of purchase, nor is it explained on Yokohama's website or ******** warranty. When I expressed my concerns about the excess wear and the lack of the advertised capabilities, I was directed to have the tires inspected at a dealer. Despite following this process, the issue remains unresolved, and I was repeatedly told that the tires' wear issues were not covered under warranty. Their rep eventually explained that the tires provided as "OE" are made of a softer compound designed to enhance the ride and fuel efficiency for new vehicles, and they do not last as long as replacements. This critical information is neither disclosed at the point of sale nor marked on the tires themselves, making it impossible for consumers to distinguish. ******** warranty guide states that all tires supplied as "OE" on new Toyotas are warranted by the tire manufacturer, and coverages may vary. This policy effectively shifts responsibility back to Yokohama, leaving consumers like myself without adequate recourse. Consumers are unable to make informed decisions about the durability and warranty coverage of their tires. This is a highly deceptive practice, and Yokohama should be held accountable for providing clear information about their products and warranties. I should not be facing the expense of replacing tires after just one year of use. I am requesting that Yokohama provide a reasonable credit toward new tires, as they have failed to meet reasonable durability expectations and the warranty coverage is unjustly inadequate.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used vehicle with nearly new Yokohama Avid Envigor 225/60/R17 directional tires on it. The road noise is significant and I have follow recommended rotating procedures.
