We have bought around $9,500 in appliances from *****'s over the past 4 years. Two AC's, a chest freezer, washer, range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher. We were happy with the purchases till the $3,000 GE refrigerator was not cooling properly just a little over a year after we started using it. After the first call, we had a service tech scheduled for 2 weeks. They came & looked at it & said they would replace a fan and a temp sensor. The best I could tell it was a guess, not a diagnosis. Around 3 weeks later, they came with the parts & replaced the parts. There was no change. The "repair" cost over $300 and made no difference. They just changed good parts for new parts the best I can tell. Our milk is going bad, and we have 5 children. Fridge temp is in the 40s and 50s. This is a health risk. We had a hard time feeling like the repair men cared about the fridge, it was more bother to them than worth fixing. I was promised a call from the repair manager yesterday, but did not receive a call. We are very disapointed, we thought this was a good place that would take care of us. We used to buy all of our appliances from *********** but after we moved, we decided we would "upgrade" to buying from an appliance store, and so we bought everything from *****'s. Now I'm wishing we had just stuck with *********** What's the benefit of buying from *****'s if they can't service a $3,000 one year old refrigerator. We have 5 children and frankly don't have extra funds to spend on repairing brand new appliances.

Mannys appliance came to fix our stove. Their job could have killed my family. First, they tried to overcharge us when I found the part for much less. After they left, we discovered our oven was broken. I figured the had to relate to the stove just getting fixed so I had GE come out to look at it. GE let us know that there is a piece Mannys put in backwards, they bent back of the oven, they broke the fan trigger, and they bent gas line so bad it almost has holes in it. This could have led to a gas leak that could have killed my family. Our oven is broken because of Manny's and its unsafe. We have called and written reviews and nobody will call us back to resolve the issue. We expect an apology, the technician to learn how unsafe that was, our money back, and additional money to fix our oven. This could have led to a devastating gas leak.

On June 20, Manny's Appliance technician came due to an emergency with my refrigerator late afternoon. The temperature was spiking on the digital controls of my GE refrigerator. It would rise and then I would try to adjust it. I told the technician of the issues. He proposed a $95 condenser cleaning which I told him might not do anything given that a prior technician had said the condenser and fan were clean. But I was desperate so agreed. The receipt cited the "cause" as a dirty condenser and the "correction" as a "cleaned." Except that there was no problem with the condenser and as I predicted, the cleaning made no difference except a horrible smell of chemicals. I lost a freezer of food. I called Manny's back early on June 24 and reported the repair had not worked; in fact, the refrigerator was cooling worse since. I was told that Manny would come to look at the refrigerator between 12:00-2:00pm. I mentioned that I had a work appointment at 2:30pm. Manny did not show ** in the time frame, finally until 2:30.He checked the refrigerator and asked if the freezer door had been left open. I told him there was no way as my door has an alarm. He said he's need to wait for 20 minutes to see if closing the (already closed) door would help. He did not check the refrigerator's computer board as I asked. Before the time was up, he said the problem was likely the board at a repair cost of $500+. I asked him to wait for the 20-minutes he mentioned before making a diagnosis and to please use testing equipment to check the board. He started becoming belligerent. He said he would only replace the board and rudely demanded payment for the part or I'd be left in this situation on a Friday night with no help. I was upset about this treatment and we agreed he should leave. I requested a refund of the $95 fee for a repair my refrigerator did not need and did not fix the problem. He became hostile. I'm asking for a refund due to the documented misdiagnosis and lack of correction.

On March 9, 2021, I requested the ******* of ***** Appliance Repair to repair an ice maker for my elderly parent's refrigerator. I paid him $424.87 to replace the unit. He replaced the unit and the next day it was not making ice again. I called him back and he came. This time I was not there but my sister was. When I arrived the bottom grill of the refrigerator was cut and removed. Wires were cut and spliced and it looked terrible. The unit still was not making ice. I was told by ***** that they had to order the part and that it would *********** months, due to Covid for the part to arrive. Four months came and so I called for an update. I was told the part was still on back order. Six months came and went without any communication from *****. I called again and this time was told they still don't have the part. Now at this point I was frustrated but I didn't want to make a complaint if it was due to back order problems so I continued to be patient and wait. Again after no response I called. He explained that he ordered a wiring kit. I asked him for the part number so I could call Whirlpool directly and see what the problem was. He texted me the part number. When I finally was able to talk to a person at Whirlpool which was not an easy feat, I was told that the part number I gave them was for an entire door not a wiring kit. I called ***** again trying to get some answers. He was going to contact them and let me know. I never received a phone call back from him. Over a year later, and my ice unit is still not fixed and my refrigerator is ugly from the dismantling. I finally called him and asked for a complete refund. He told be to send him the invoice which I questioned him why he doesn't have records. He got very short with me and said "I'm driving" I texted him the invoice and asked for conformation he received. No response. After some time I called his main number. Ive called several times and have not heard from ***** and not received a refund.

i had mannys appliance repair come out saturday to repair my dryer- prior to, i asked the rep on the phone an estimated cost if it was the element and offered to give him my dryer info and he said oh mamm no worries we arent going to rip you off we are very reasonable. unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. Elements for my dryer run anywhere from $18 - $106 OEM part. i was charged ***** deposit plus ******. Mind you, I had already had the cover off and the lint cover off with all the parts cleaned and tools right there as i was *****% positive it was the element and i had told the rep on the phone that as well. so for 20 minutes, at most, of work i was charged over $400. I have since called three other appliance repair shops who quoted me half of what they charged me. I am absolutely disappointed that they take advantage of folks like that. I am a single mom of 5 kids. $400 was not in my budget as this was unexpected - however - i was desperate to have my dryer back up and running. I will not be recommending them to anyone in the future. It is not ok to charge so excessively. On a positive note, the tech was very nice - but did dismiss me when i questioned the pricing as i was well aware how much the element itself could cost- he was efficient and prompt.
