I brought some coins in and spoke to owner *************************** in hopes of possibly selling them. **************** was interested and we made a deal on a large number of coins (silver). **************** then issued me a check for payment and that check was issued from an account of another business that he had sold 6 months prior. The check was issued on a closed account. I contacted **************** in which he stated that he not only issued me but 3 other checks from the same account that day and that I just needed to go into the store and he would replace the check with cash. I tried for 2 months to meet with him at the store and he finally stopped answering my calls and text messages. He still has my coins and I am out $2500.00 because now I understand that he sold the business to someone else.

After depositing the check, it was returned for NSF. *** contacted the owner several times and on the few times hes responded to me, he says h*** rectify the situation that day, but then I dont hear from him again. The storefront now appears to be closed as it is never open when Ive gone by during business hours. I just want the money Im owed.

On 11/25/22 I went to coin shop to inquire about possibly selling some coins, after I spoke with *************************** (owner), I decided that I would sell him some of the coins I brought in. He offered me $2500.00 for the coins and I accepted the offer. He also said if I left a small box of different coins he would research them and let me know what he could offer on those, so I did. **************** cut me a check for the $2500.00 and told me to wait until the next day to deposit it. I did just that and I received notice from my back that the check was no good that it was written on a closed account. I have been in contact with **************** since then multiple times and he keeps making plans with me to come in to the store to give me cash for the check but when I get there he isn't there or the store is closed. I live 40 miles from the store so it's a drive to get there. Then he says that he has someone that will drive to me and they don't show up. Then his wife says she will bring it to me and she doesn't show up. Now I cannot get anyone to answer my calls at all and in order to get into the store you have to call a number and they "buzz" you in. So when I show up they don't answer my call to "buzz" me in. I've done some further investigation on the company and now know that I'm not the first or second person he has done this with, he writes bad checks to a lot of people.

Friday June 24th my fiance and I took some silver coins with some paper money and also some autographed jerseys and 2 autographed framed picture. Once he looked at everything and came back with an amount he said he would buy it all for **** dollars. He went to his atm and pulled out 800 and gave it to us. He then told us to come back in 2 hours to get the rest. He pulled out a piece of paper and wrote an iou for 800 dollars. We went back later and he told us he couldn't pull any more money out of the atm. So we went to the circle k and he used there atm, pulled out 300 and gave it to her and he said he would send us the rest through a bank transfer. It never happened. Said he had issues doing it he needed to call the bank and he would call us back. We got a text message later saying that coins were not what he supposedly paid us for and now the total will be less. There is a difference of 648 dollars. Which means we would have to go pay him to take our stuff and now we never got the rest of the money he wrote the iou for. Which is another 500 dollars. He has stickers ** in his window saying he is a bbb accredited but when I look him up on your site it states he isn't.Please help!! This was supposed to help with rent. I am currently filing for disability and just had a hip replacement done. He ner went through the coins in front if us. So for all I know he could have switched them out.The store is Phoenix coin ******************************************************************************** **********
