I started working with this company in August of 2021 and have had problem after problem with them that has been drawn out over time. After they installed the solar panels on our house they broke a lot of roof tiles that I asked them to come replace. They have come out three separate times to replace tiles and each time they said they replaced them all but didn't. I finally called a professional roofer that came out and replaced all the tiles that were broke and patched a hole that was created during the installation of the solar panels. I've contacted the solar company to reimburse me for the cost of the professional roofer I hired since it was something they couldn't complete correctly, and they've never gotten back to me. I've been very patient with Bright solar, but I just want to get this done already.Business response

We are so sorry to have received your complaint and hear that you are not happy with our services. As you stated, we have been out to your home 3 separate times to replace the broken tile on your roof. It is very common for tile to break while installing solar, which is why we generally keep extra tiles on hand. However, we did not have the correct color tile that was needed for your home initially, which is why we weren't able to get it done at the same day of install. We took pictures of all broken tile, replaced all the broken tile, and even patched a part of your roof at no cost to you that didn't have anything to do with the solar install. They have offered nothing for compensation for their own mistakes and have misrepresented themselves in their response, therefore I don't accept it.Initial Complaint

I purchased my system on 12/21/2020 for $52,434.44. The system has not worked correctly since I purchased it. Last year it under produced for approximately 8 months. This year it has under produced for 6 months already with no solar production since 07/26/2022. When I called in after noticing the system was down on 08/02/2022 I was told Bright home/SolarEdge were aware of the problem on 7 /26 and were working to fix it. When nobody had been out to fix it I called back on 08/09. I was told Bright Home/SolarEdge were not made aware of the problem till 08/02 so I was going to have to wait even longer. The associiate lied. I asked to speak to the manger. The manger called back and informed me it was a new associate who gave me the wrong information, they were "sorry". When the system was purchased I was promised a two week turn around. This never happends all Bright Home/SolarEdge do is give you a run around about how they're waiting on someone else. Bright Home/SolarEdge are never able to get you the number of "someone" else. In the meantime I am not only paying for the system but a large electric bill. I have not saved any money with this system all it does is cost money and they do not care its not they're money. It takes a month before Bright Home/SolarEdge ever get out to fix it, then it breaks down a couple of months later.Business response

This was nothing more than a misunderstanding, we reached out to the customer directly and apologized for the miscommunication and there is nothing more that is needed. His solar system is up and functioning and has been since it was installed. The customer apologized for filing this complaint and assured us he would remove it on his end. He has our phone number to call if any other questions come up down the road.
