I bought a Ram from this dealership in September. It was an out of state purchase, so I had to pay for tag, title, and ******** state taxes. No big deal, not the end of the world. It is now December and the dealership has still not sent the title or the ******** plates as they are required by law. Emails have gone unanswered, and calls have been ignored. This was the strangest dealership Ive ever dealt with, and Ive dealt with more than a dozen in two years. They asked for references, my SSN to conduct a background check, despite the fact I brought to the table my own financing via USAA. Unpleasant from the onset is an understatement. But they had the truck I wanted and I was willing to pay the price, albeit nearly 20K over MSRP. I can forgive the quirks and the shenanigans. All I want is my title and the tag. I will walk away and never look back. Ill take down this review if given the opportunity. All I ask is that the person responsible for this make it right.

      Dear ********************,

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. In reviewing my records, I do see that this was rectified and that registration has been issued and the title has been perfected. Unfortunately out of state purchases do take a longer time frame to process and I would like to personally apologize for any inconvienence this issue may have caused. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

      Regards,

      ***************************

We have worked tirelessly over the past few months to meet the customers needs. This customer placed a non-refundable deposit on a truck that we now held for him for over two weeks. We have processes and procedures in place to prevent fraud at every step of our sales process. The final step for out of state customers is an in-person signing of sales documents. This signing has been scheduled,  but for some reason the customer now wants to cancel his deal. Something is fishy about his behavior, but as long as he can sign the paperwork in person and prove his identity, we intend to move forward with his transaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

We started the purchase of a truck, had a loaners agreement also. We had our mechanics inspect the vehicle and found *** and 4x4 system errors. We had the dealer fix those issues and swap the rims at no change in cost. While we were waiting for the vehicle to be fixed and ready for us to pickup. The dealer knowingly sold the truck to another party while we were waiting on them to send us the new contract form due to a finance charge that was dropped by the dealer. We expressed how we would even put a down payment on the truck and the salesman said it was not necessary. Multiple employees of our even corresponded with the dealership the morning of the day it was sold and expressed our desire to get the paperwork to sign since they seemed to have an issue sending the paperwork. *********************** the salesman started the sale with us on a Tuesday, we test drove, inspected and loaned it until Thursday, the dealer started fixing the vehicle while we awaited it and the paperwork, we tried to get new paperwork Saturday since they still didn't send it even thou they stated they did send it. I made sure to send the email address again Saturday morning to ensure everything was correct. Monday morning when trying to pickup the vehicle and sign paperwork we were still waiting on, **** lied on the phone to me that it was accidentally sold to another party by another salesman. **** said he didn't work that day but in fact did work that day and corresponded about purchasing the truck with us all that day. The dealer stole the vehicle from us during the ongoing sale process of it and broke multiple verbal agreements for us to purchase the vehicle. I believe they did not want to fix the *** and 4x4 errors and sold it to another unknowing party "Lemon Law Violation". Our credit was used trying to purchase this vehicle, we still need a vehicle so it will get hit again and go down with the next vehicle we purchase.

      BBB Team,

With over 600 vehicles in inventory and 35 sales professionals, it is not uncommon for us to have concurrent negotiations going on with multiple customers. Per company policy, the only way we are able to hold a vehicle for a customer is if they have a given us a deposit. Unfortunately *************** continued his negotiations without placing a deposit, and the vehicle was sold to another customer. On a side note, we would never sell a vehicle with known issues. That would go completely against our mission statement (https://www.liftedtrucks.com/dealership/about.htm).We would be more than happy to find a similar vehicle for *************** that fits his needs, and we would not have to pull his credit again. Please have him reach out to **** if he would like to move forward.

On Tuesday 1/22/2022 the day we initially met with *********************** from
Lifted Trucks.  We attempted to put a down payment on the truck and he
said it was not necessary.  How are we supposed to put a deposit on the
vehicle when the salesman rejects that deposit but moves forward with
the sale?  He is supposed to be our professional sales guide thru the purchase
process!  We even paid a mechanic to inspect the vehicle which **** was
notified of.  We created and maintained A VESTED INTEREST in this
vehicle and moved forward with the purchase of it to the best of our
ability with multiple employees communicating our intention to
purchase.  While we waited to be notified it was fixed and receive the new contract after multiple requests, you guys sold it behind our backs and violated our purchase agreement.

      ***************,

Thank you for reaching out and we appreciate your feedback. Customers are always welcome to put a hold on a vehicle by making a deposit. It's actually encouraged. For whatever reason, in your case we did not have a deposit from you, so another customer was able to buy the vehicle. As unfortunate as this situation is at times, we have to follow policy, and satisfy the customers in front of us.  If there are any other vehicles you would like to look at we would be glad to assist you. Sincerely, Lifted Trucks Management.

I had a lawyer looking into this. However, covid hit and now I cannot afford to proceed with him. So, I bought and truck through lifted trucks in Phoenix and to buy that truck I had a trade in which they had applied $14000 to reduce the price of the new truck with. After about 3 months I was at the do it yourself car wash and I noticed that the paint on the frame had started coming off. After further investigation I found that the frame of the of the truck was rusted out from front to back and someone had painted over the rust. I have pictures and video of the frame. I took it back to lifted trucks and they were apologetic and admitted that the truck should have never been sold. In that conversation they also admitted it was them that had painted the frame. They told me to pick out another truck. I did, but when it came to signing the new contracts my trade in money had disappeared. We argued about this point for 2 hours or so. They told me that the trade in was applied to taxes and other fees so they were unable to apply those funds to the new truck. I was in a bind because my business involved towing heavy equipment and I absolutely had to have a vehicle to tow with so I had to sign the contract. My thinking was I would have a lawyer look into it afterwards. Thats when covid hit and everything was put on hold. I need to have those funds that were basically stolen from me applied to this new loan. What they did was wrong and I need help. I have all documents however they are long contract docs that I can't scan for upload.

      Hey ******,

Thanks for reaching out to let us know about your experience, and we apologize for not making sure that you were 100% satisfied. We source vehicles from all over the country and ita not uncommon for us to see rust in the undercarriage from time to time. Yes, we do paint over the rust if we think it helps the aesthetics, but by no means would it ever compromise the integrity of the frame. Many of our customers appreciate that we go the extra mile to make the trucks look great by painting the frame to get rid of the rust. Either way, Im glad that you were able to find a different vehicle that you liked and we were able to trade you out of your original truck. I can ensure you that your original $14,000 of trade equity was not stolen from you and Id be more than happy to go through all the numbers with you over the phone or in person.

I have reached out to ****** via email and I encourage him to call me at the dealership so I can walk him through all the numbers.

      Sincerely, ***** - ************
