I dropped off our 6 yr old english bulldog on 9/19 for a 7 night stay for care. I authorized medical care at drop off in the event needed. When I picked him up 9/19 he was very sick fever, runny mucas filled nose, barely walking. The gentleman working the front desk said oh ya, he's had a runny nose the last day or two we havve been wiping it. So the staff noticed he had symptons. When we got home I had almost 5 cups of food left, when they called us on day 2 and said we didn't bring enough food and his allergy medications were not given as noted by the amount of pills that came back. At pick up when I got him home he wouldn't get up to leave the car it was clear he was very sick. I took him to the *********************** who diagnosed him with Pnenomia. It seems he contracted a virus and it was not addressed by the staff, even though they have a hospital adjacent to this facility. We tried home care but ultimately he did a day of i-v therapy in the hospital and has had a very slow recovery. We had no communication from them other than the quick statement about his mucas filled runny nose, they were neglectful in his care and had he been put on medication at onset of the virus we could of avoided it progressing into pnemonia. I believe they are responsible for these bills. I have left 3 messages for ******* the Manager and when I tell them who I am they say he's not available and has never called me back. I suspect because they know he was neglected and send home sick.Business response

I believe ******* spoke with you directly last week after we received your compliant through the BBB. Following that phone call, you were refunded for ****'s stay and his hospital bills.
Please let me know if the refund did not go through or if you have any follow up questions. Otherwise, if you have received the refund, and are satisfied with our response, would you kindly consider withdrawing this compliant from the BBB?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
