November 4, 2023 I ordered a custom Cosplay Outfit with accessories from Mr. Steve Gray of the Tuskin Outfitters Props & Collectibles, in Tucson, AZ. I learned of him via a cosplay group on Facebook. I paid him $1,300 via my PayPal account to "Simply Groovy". I was told it would be a 3-4 month turnaround until my gear was completed. After the initial 3-4 months he kept saying it would be another month, then another, then another. finally on August 17, I messaged via Facebook Messenger and demanded he either send me my prepaid ordered gear or give me a refund. His response was "Fine, you're on the refund list at my convenience. My choice. The only other reply you will get will be the refund. Goodbye."... and then he blocked me from any further communication. After this happened I found out I am not the first person he has done this to. I currently have a list of 10 other people he has defrauded by failing to complete prepaid orders for. Some have been waiting for up to 2 years for him to make good on orders that were paid in advance. The total so far is over $5,000 and I still need information from 3 others. His victims are in several states across the US as well as one in Canada. I have waited 10 months for my gear, and I would like to get what I paid for. However, if there are 9 other people ahead of me I wont see either anytime soon. I am a 100% disabled veteran, so this amount of money is quite substantial for someone in my position. He needs to be held accountable and he needs to make good on all the people he has taken money from. I can supply the list of additional people and all information I have, if requested.
