We had **** and his crew add a porch and storage room to our house and his son **** *** fixed and coated our roof . They both did a excellent job and communication from both of them was great. I highly recommend them and will use them for future projects.

**** poured a concrete slab. He came out two days after the pour to secure the patio. He and his staff scratched the surface of the concrete ruining the finish. When I asked him to come and look at the slab, he stated I should wait a month and see if the scratches go away. That did not happen. After a month he came and looked at the slab and offered to discount future work. I declined since I want quality work and this did not meet my standards. I asked him to refund a portion of the $8,500 I paid for him to complete the slab. He offered $250 and blamed my dogs for the scratches. My animals did not touch the slab. **** does not stand behind his work. Now I will have to call the **** Very poor customer service. I do not recommend ********************.

I want to take a moment and respond to this negative review, to give our side of the story for any potential clients who may be here reading this. We poured two concrete slabs for this customer earlier this year in 2024. We brought in about 25 tons of fill dirt, raised and compacted the pad, and poured a 3000 psi concrete mix on top. To pour the rear slab, we had to temporarily dismantle an attached metal patio cover. 2 days after the pour, we came out and re-attached the patio cover to the new slab.Job went well, customer paid and all was good.About a couple weeks later I got an email stating the slab had 'scratches' in it that she believed was caused by us when we came back out to re-attach the patio cover.I asked her to wait a full month and see how it looks. Concrete takes 28 days to fully cure and newly poured slabs can look strange before they fully dry.That month came and went and she reached back out stating the scratches had not gone away. So, we set up a time and I came back out to see the slab in person. The slab looked great; completely normal but there were light scratches in various areas of the slab. Most were near the outer edger near the patio posts so I can see how the scratches may have been perceived to be caused by us.However, most of these scratches followed a similar theme: they were almost all a 4-scratch pattern. 4 lines spaced apart about half inch.. just like the toe nails of a dog. And for the record this customer did have dogs.i believe these scratches were caused by a dog, not by us. We have been doing this kind of work for 10 years plus. Never once had a call back for scratches such as these. I offered to refund $250 as a kind gesture despite feeling not responsible; the customer declined and called the registrar of contractors to file a complaint. Our first complaint ever.The registrar of contractors (roc) came out and looked at the slab themselves. They took pictures and did an investigation and ultimately closed the case after they found no wrong-doing by us as the contractor. The ROC investigator agreed the scratches looked to be caused by a dog, but obviously that could never be proven. Its he say, she say.If anyone is interested, I have pictures of the slab and the scratches. Just give me a call at ************ and I'd be happy to share them if interested.I wish this customer the best and have no ill-will toward her. I appreciate the business and apologize that it had to end this way.We are a small family business. We take our reputation and quality of work very serious. It's how we feed our families.
