2017 GMC ****** was purchased from the business on Friday November 3, 2023. On Friday December 1, 2023 the A/C stopped working in the vehicle. Per the vendor's warranty they do warranty to AC compressor if it goes out within the first 30 days or **** miles whichever comes first. The date of this incident was the 28th day. Michelle's Auto Sales was contacted and we spoke to the salesman ******* who said he spoke with the owner ****** who said they would have the vehicle looked at by their mechanic to see if the issue fell under the coverage by their warranty. We were told to wait for a call back from ******* with no success. We then reached out on Saturday the 2 and Monday the 4th because they were closed on Sunday. Each time we are told we will get a call back or a text to direct us when the mechanic can look at the vehicle and when we can bring it in. However the business fails to follow up with communication which we believe is because they want this issue to be outside of the 30 days where they are no longer liable to look into or fix the issue.Initial Complaint

I want them to rewind the deal end contract since the vehicle started having issues the 2nd day I had it. Took it in for them to help me out and no one was willing to help me. ***** said ok he will pay the loan but that he would make me responsible to pay him back. The vehicle is missing fuses that warn any attention from the vehicle. I would already have to pay thousands of dollars to get it fixed when I have not even made the first payment yet. I understand their "warranty" says 15 days but I have msgs where I did reach out to them before then and even went in. He then starting offering to get it fixed and me pay half then agreed to then pay it all but us do all the work by taking it in to *** dealer wasting my time off of work and gas money. I do not feel safe in that vehicle at all with ******* 2 kids I am not happy at all with the vehicle and would not feel safe with any of their vehicles. I have heard bad things about them and so they are for sure not trustworthy. I have spent all these days since I purchased vehicle googling and txtn ppl to ask if they know what could be wrong with it. The fuses missing, the broken/cracked headlights and effective harness. I just want them to clear me off of this loan ASAP. Thank you so much for your support and understanding.Business response

Further, as we have stated in each response, Michelles Auto Sales, LLC (Michelles) was more than willing to work with ************. Although ************ had the opportunity to have a diagnostic test run on the vehicle, she refused that opportunity. As was explained to her at the time of the sale, Michelles does not have the diagnostic equipment necessary to diagnose problems with a Range Rovers. Further exacerbating the problems in this case is the fact that ************ has sold the vehicle. Michelles now has no way of either diagnosing the problem or, if there was a problem, fixing it.
************** actions are not consistent with those of a consumer wishing to get a vehicle repaired. Rather, ************** actions clearly demonstrate that she had buyers remorse after purchasing the vehicle and wanted merely to try to get out of the contract. To do this, ************ apparently traded the vehicle in at $10,000.00 loss. Thats not reasonable and does not afford my client he opportunity given to it under ******* law to repair the vehicle, if any such repair was, in fact, necessary.Customer response

Michelle's Auto Sales kept giving me the run around and expected for ME to take the vehicle spending my own money and time for the vehicle to be checked when I had less than a week with the vehicle. They never even took the time or interest to help out with this in the beginning until I went back and let them know that more issues were going on with the vehicle. Even the bank had recommended for me to take it back to them and had right to reverse payment. They were very unprofessional about the situation stating that they have done this for years and no one has ever complained or done anything about it. If you look at the reviews online you are able to see the same complaints of other customers. I also called to request a copy of a form and the lady at front desk said she was not able to talk to me and just rudely hung up on me. I am sorry but I have heard of many people go through this a lot there but don't know how to submit the complaint. I had to trade in the vehicle because the car just kept having different issues and I was not able to afford getting it fixed plus a payment and I did need a vehicle to move around. It is very unfortunate that they take advantage of people this way. They are super friendly at first but when someone goes in for questions or help after, they are never available.
