I was at *****'s salon on Saturday April 6th. I had a "dip" manicure and a "deluxe" pedicure. Total cost $120. ***** the owner did my manicure and once she was done she asked me to go next door to the dispensary to pull cash out from their ATM, she said that they prefer cash because it's better for small businesses. The manicure was mediocre, I could tell something was off. It seemed as though it never appropriately dried. A receipt for cash payment was never given or offered. The next morning I woke up to my nails absolutely destroyed. Monday 4/8 I walked into the salon asking for a refund, she refused. She said she would do them over and I said no I don't want to sit for another 2 hours and not know if they are going to last. I asked her to show me a written policy that states she doesnt provide receipts or refunds and she refused. ***** refused to give me a refund and told me to call the police. I thought about it, and it felt silly to call the police so I decided to just ask for a receipt instead. She refused to give me a receipt and told me I need to call the police for a receipt. So I did. Attached are photos of the damaged nails, police at her salon and the receipt she provided the police officer

The customer came to the shop on Saturday, without an appt. It states on our website that we are appointment only. We were busy,so I asked if she could wait, she said yes. She had a dip,and a deluxe pedicure. At the end of the treatment, she said she loved it, and was very happy with it. Once the dip sets under UV light, its very difficult to get off. It doesnt smudge or mess up,and can only be removed using a combination of acetone and a drill. The customer came in 2 days later on a Monday demanding a refund. I cannot offer refunds as part of the price includes the cost of labor. I offered to fix the problem for her,but she refused. She refused to show me her nails, even though she was right in front of me,and would only show me a picture on her cell phone. At this point I was feeling very intimidated, and was unsure what to do. The salon was full, and there were children present, and she was raising her voice and started recording on her phone. She was very loud and saying threatening and hurtful things. My customers advised to call the police, and I told her she can call the police,as I was very scared. She made threats to have her followers(online) come for me and ruin my business. She said she would stay in the shop forever. I was very scared, and so were the customers and the children who were both under 10 years old.

When the police came, they said that they understood that hair and nails can be difficult. They said she needed a receipt.  I hand wrote her a receipt. Manicure for $60,Deluxe pedicure for $60.

Customers in my shop always pay after the service,so that I can make sure it is to their liking.

In the spirit of compromise,I can refund her the full $120 as a one time payment under the condition that she never comes here again and doesnt try and hurt my business. I feel very threatened and uncomfortable. When she comes to get her refund she must be accompanied by the police for the safety of myself, my staff and my customers.
